I guess it's only appropriate that my first post in a long time is this one.

Well where to begin. I joined KHV back in 2006 and became staff about a year later, becoming an admin not too long after that. Throughout my high school years I spent a lot of time devoted to Kh-vids, anyone who's an old member here knows I put my heart and soul into this place for a very long time. It was a long road with a lot of frustrating stops along the way, from dealing with people who exploited the hell out of vBulletin's easy to hack software to being the only admin at one point and wondering if the site was worth saving. From 2006 to about 2011 or so, KHV was a big part of my life and it's something I'll always be knowing I was apart of.

The site has come a long way since then, and I was very happy and relived when we reached a point where both the staff and members have settled down into a great community with very little problems. Over the last few years, my interests have shifted a bit and before I knew it, I had lost contact with both the staff and community here. I'm sure there's a lot of members here who see me as the "admin who doesn't do anything" and for the last 2 years or so, are pretty much right about that. After finalizing the move to Xenforo and transferring all our licensing information over to Misty, this is the first time in awhile where I no longer have any ties to the site that require me to be here.

I tried many times to try and get back into the swing of things with KHV, but between my dissolving interest and our site being in well capable hands, I haven't had any luck in doing so. I think having put so much time and effort into helping making KHV a better place is what has made me hesitant on leaving for good (as staff), but I realize my inactiveness and lack of interest are no excuse so I must take responsibility for it.

Thanks to everyone who has been apart of this site and my life over the years, and to those who never got to know me, thank you anyways for keeping KHV a fun and active place that people want to keep coming back to.

PS. The best place to get a hold of me nowadays is on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198084602731

Would love to play some 100% Orange Juice or other steam games with you guys.

I've never seen a mid term or a final exam on a online class yet, but I have seen quizzes and tests/timed tests quite a bit. A lot of my online courses just use final projects instead.

I've taken dozens of online classes now and only had a problem with one of them so far (awful instructor). As someone who is always on their computer, online classes are preferable for me since:

-At my college, they are 6 weeks instead of 10 a course so I can take 2 and 2 in pretty much the same time I did 4 classes at once on campus.
-Assignments are typically easier, a lot of the course grades are forum posts and discussion questions which usually only take a few minutes a day.
-I don't ever have to study for tests unless they're timed (No one there to say no using the textbook or Google w).
-Saves me time and money by not having to drive to school.

If I had to list the downsides, it's simply:

-Not for everyone, especially people that can't stand technology or communicating online.
-Typically faster pace (hence why they're shorter classes)
-If your connection is unreliable, it could cost you. Most instructors make you upload your assignments on the due date by 11:59 with no exceptions.

As for the the people who say you don't learn anything from online classes, I don't find that to be particularly true. There are classes like that for sure, but typically they're the same courses you would consider a blowoff in the classroom as well. I just finished a PowerShell class last semester where the instructor did a really nice job showing us the commands through the virtual classroom and I learned quite a bit.

Same reason you get any game on PC, mods.

But seriously PC gaming is the future no matter how you look at it, Disney just put 20+ games on steam the other day.

With Epic Mickey and Final Fantasy XIII coming to steam, will Square Enix give in to the PC marketshare for KH3 as well? I personally hope so since KH3 would be the only reason to buy a ps4 at this point, considering FF XV's port to PC seems even more likely.
