It was reported on the BBC news today that Uganda is set to introduce the death penalty for "serial homosexuals" although this may be downgraded to life in jail. Even so, this is ridiculous. It has been PROVEN that being homosexual is from birth. Do they realise the irony of what they are suggesting? I could say that the death penalty should be introduced for black people (although I don't have the backing of religious texts), it's the same kind of thing. And it isn't just Uganda, in Malawi a gay couple were put in jail for 14 years each for basically loving each other =/ As well is the abominations instigated my many other African nations. When will this madness end. When will people realise that gay people do not choose to be the way they are. When will they realise that if they they decide that gay people do not deserve the same rights as everyone else then they undermine their own basic rights? Ugh, it sickens me.

I have sat up all night watching the election results come in. It is now 6:07am and they still have no idea who is going to win with 543/650 seats decided. But we are headed for a hung parliament. That'll be a lot of very happy wives ;)
Has anyone else read this book? I will be honest, the only reason I tracked it down was because I was reading into the story of Bioshock and I came across Ayn Rand. She is the entire basis of both Bioshock games with her book, Atlas Shrugged, being the main influence and reference. The book itself is rather long but well worth the time put into reading it. I must say that it has affected the way I look at things from the meaning of songs I listen to to the way I look at life in general. Basically, read this book!

That is exponentially more sad than pretending that you are someone that does exist (and that is pretty sad in itself). keep them. Basically, say a son comes out to his parents as being gay. In my case, my parents accepted me for who I am. They respected and loved me enough to do so. But in my boyfriend's case, his dad hasn't accepted it. This angers and disgusts me to no end. In my mind he should not be allowed to call himself a father. A dad is a man who produces and loves and respects his children. ALL OF THEM. Not just the ones he finds "acceptable". Otherwise he is just a father. And as everyone knows, any man with a functioning penis can be a father, but it takes something special to be a dad.
