That opening scene to Guardians of the Galaxy just tugs on way too many heart strings. I can't watch that s*** by myself.

If you've got something to say but feel it isn't thread-worthy, then pop a squat by the hearth and feel free to run your mouth. This is pretty much our spam thread, but this is also where I'll be going to take suggestions, opinions, and complaints that want to be made public.

On that note, since this our first week, I'm going to hold off on our first discussion thread for next week so we can all settle in. In the meantime, how do you guys feel about the rules so far?

My eyes are open to the words of my brothers, my heart is open to the pain of my comrades, and my soul is bound to the souls of my brothers. My allegiance is to no single person, but to the group and each and every collective man apart of it. My judgment will be wrought in the name of the group as a whole, and there will be no bad blood between me and he ones who leave us.

Though I travel with my own group and standards, as a member of this gentleman's club, I vow to uphold the values and dreams of those that travel the man's path. That we should rise with the dawn and set as the dusk, that we shine as no others have before, or that we we bring clarity to those that are blinded by other's light. As a man, and as a human, I vow and swear that my brothers will have my assistance and loyalty no matter where they may go, so that they have the opportunity to wander where their hearts may lead them, and that my assistance will disrupt anything that gets in their way; my promise that I will contribute that which I can to the brotherhood, and ensure that none think that they stand alone. That not one brother of mine will be left to fall. That I will offer my hand to those that do.

    - 21- As a member of the club, I vow to aid in keeping the valor and spirit of other the other gentlemen alive. There are many things out there may cause disagreement, but this does not mean I will judge a fellow gentlemen (or person) on one aspect, but instead on his overall character. I will help my fellow man never give up on the quest that they are on. While I may not always join them, I will be an ally and guide to where ones path may lead them.

    RULES

    1. Choose your avatar carefully, because once you've made your first post with it, you're sticking with it. It doesn't matter if its anthropomorphic, drawn or not drawn, so long as he's manly. If you don't want to change your main avatar, then find yourself a secondary avatar to attach to each of your posts on the group boards, much like how some would add when posting in an RP. This should be put up at the top and centered above your posts.

    *EXAMPLES OF VALID AVATARS*
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    2. When I say Gentleman's club, I mean Gentleman's club. Meaning that this is an 18+ club, as discussions will feature semi-mature themes. Naturally, we're not gonna go overboard because we're still confined to the rules of this lovely forum, so no porno (but you better believe we'll be getting into swimsuit models one summer comes 'round).

    3. I do not care for your sexual preferences. In my eyes and the eyes of the Brotherhood, a man is a man, regardless of what he seeks in a partner.

    - Should I find out that our members have been harassing/bullying one another over this, the offender will be expelled and reported faster than I can shake my d*** after a hot piss.

    4. The topic of beards will be addressed at some point, and likely in more than one occasion. You have to be willing to post a picture of you and your mane when that time comes. Like I said, this is a Brotherhood with a capital 'B': we hold no secrets. If you can't grow a full beard, no worries, just show us what you got.

    5. You have to reply to our discussion topic at least once in the week. If you can't make your quota for whatever reason, send me a PM and we're good. Otherwise, you get 2 strikes then you're out.

    6. If you have a Topic-of-the-Week that you want to discuss, send me a PM and I'll introduce it the following week. This works on a first come/first serve principle, meaning that if someone already pitched a topic to me, then second will be put up the week after that.

    7. Suggestions for invitations come through me. This club is exclusive and I want to make sure I know who's who before I open these doors to them.

    - Avatar (just attach a link to the text to keep things orderly-lookin'. Once you've picked your avatar, you stick with it. This so that your identity and image within the group be eternal, regardless of what you might change your username into in the future)

    - Age:
    - Vow (that's right, we write our own vows. I only want the most sincere and dedicated of bros in this group, and if you can't find the words to prove how serious you are about joining, then we don't want you here. I don't care for length; just convince me). The following is my own:

Most people have bitter feelings towards this day of the year, and the reason is mostly likely to be because they're either single, victims of poor experiences or just have no love for the hyper-consumerist/materialistic aspect of this tradition. That's fine.

However, this holiday isn't about shallow expressions beget by social-media hype. For me, and for people who actually understand what this day should be about. It's not about intimate romance or the boyfriend/girlfriend relationship; all that is only 1/1000th of the whole equation. Rather, today's a day to show appreciation and affectionate sentiment to the people around us. If you're going to up and tell me that you have no one you would like to show those feelings to, then I say you're full of crap.

Go pick up the phone, or get on Skype, or start typing out an e-mail, and let people know how much you appreciate them. Hesitating to do so is what makes people bitter on this holiday, and it's not fair for you to hold yourself back just because no one came to you first. Life's too short to dwell on that crap, so take initiative to make someone else feel important.

Furthermore, I want to extend these sentiments to each of you. Though I haven't logged in again until recently, I've been a member of this forum long enough to have some appreciation for this community in general; whether it be staff, members, or even the anonymous cowboy that hosts the server we're established on.

With that said, Happy Valentine's Day.

But setting up camp by the lobby bar and playing pool all day long is good all-year 'round.

When your day goes from bitter to sour, how do you guys deal with it?

I just try to sleep it off or find something else to think about. Sometimes I'll review the situation in my head to point out how stupid it all is, accept that I can't do anything about it, and move on. Some things aren't worth getting upset and acting out over, so I believe it's best to just leave them be before you do something you'll regret later.

I pressed something on my netbook's keyboard and now the image of the site has expanded where everything looks enlarged, yet condensed. All other websites look fine, though.

    Help?

To keep you from constantly giving rep to one person, the site tells you to spread it, so you have to go around and become a rep whore before you can rep that one person again.

I think we're sending the wrong message here :B|:

[The other threads on this game are ages old, so I'm putting up a new one]

    Trailer

Since it's release in 2010, this game has been compared to Monster Hunter many times, and for good reason as the format of the gameplay is almost completely the same: You take on missions to fight a certain type of monster, and it will be waiting for you once you roam around the stage for a little while. The reason I recommend Gods Eater is because not only does it have a story line to pull you in, but there are certain features to it that make it much easier to play than Monster Hunter (i.e. Not having to worry about choosing between gun or sword for a certain boss, as you can switch between the two instantly during gameplay).

Anyway, enough of the comparisons. Have you played this game? Have you been looking into buying it? Share your thoughts.
