A DragonBall Online based Rp Idea

I have an idea for an Rp based on Dragonball Online and I would like to see what people think and add some more stuff to it

Basically the story is 200 years after Goku took Uub to train and it disregards GT. The world has changed a lot in the 200 years and the following events has occurred:

*Gohan created a book known as Groundbreaking Science which explains to the public martial arts and Ki control
*Because of Gohan's book many earthling have taken up martial arts, making it very popular
*Due to the popularity of martial arts, Krillin revived the Turtle School (since Master Roshi felt he was too old), Tien re-established the Crane School, and Goten and Trunks created the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School
* Majin Buu began to read some of Hercules's books and eventually wished for someone he could love. Using a piece of his body he created a wife for himself named Buuby and hit her with a love beam. The two of them eventually had a son and the Majin race was created
* Back at planet Namek an unknown force attacked and destroyed it causing the Namekians to flee to planet earth where they now live at
*The unknown force that destroyed planet Namek has recruited remnants of Frieza's World Trade Organization
* The world martial arts tournament has been revived after many years

What I am planning on doing is have the unknown force as the main bad guy in this rp who's goal is simply to claim earth. He will attack during the world martial arts tournament which your characters will be a part of

No DBZ characters are playable. All of them are dead and the only ones alive are Dende, Mr.Popo and Korin

Humans are separated by which school they graduated from: Krillins turtle school, Tien's Crane School, and Goten and Trunk's Kikoukenjutsu Sword School

Turtle School focuses on Melee damage
Crane School focuses on Ki damage
Sword School focuses on chanelling ki into a sword and swordsmanship

Namekians are basically the same as the show. They can regrow their body parts and are all male. There are two kinds of Namekians: Warrior and healers. Healers are basically....healers who heal wounds. Warriors are fighters (some namekian's are skilled with axes)

The majin race is considerably weaker that the original majin buu. They have healing powers and they have the ability to reattach their body parts like the original buu, but it takes a while for a limb to fully reattach

There are No Super Saiyans. The Saiyan blood has diminished over the years. Also the Dragonballs are off limit (I have a plan for them later on)


So post your ideas, likes, dislikes, questions or whatever. This is just the basic idea of the Rp

 

I actually like this and was really excited when I saw this.
Taking into account that I have no idea what DBO is, but I'm guessing it's some kind of online game lol.

So there are three main "species," right?
1. Humans
2. Majins
3. Namekians.

It actually disappoints me that there's no Saiyans or anything. I was really hoping to go angry. I have an idea for this, though, to create something similar, but that's if you want something like that.

So Majins and Namekians aren't part of any school?

 

Thats correct there are only those three main species and Namekians don't have a school (since thay will use their own race's style of fighting)

I am still iffy about the super saiyan. Don't get me wrong, Super Saiyan will be in the rp but im thinking of either having it like this: either the tiny amount of saiyan blood in humans cause the transformation or use of the dragonballs (I'm planning on having Dende a part of this so he can give the idea)

 

Well, I like it either way. It would be interesting. As long as people are kept from being overpowered.

Will certain techniques from the series be used? (Spirit Bomb, Kamehameha, Gohan's M attack whose name I forgot, Vegata's Gatling Cannon or whatever, etc?)

 

Actually yes except for spirit bomb (if everybody is using spirit bomb then the whole world will be destroyed)

 

I'm interested in this, it's quite a good idea. I've not played DBO myself but I get the gist of it. Would there be any involvement of Androids or will it just be purely organic races?

 

I haven't thought about Androids. We could add them but change up somethings (eg. take out their unlimited energy)

 

Well, if Androids are added, you'd have to come up with a little history on them. Who created them and why, etc.

 

Im quite iffy on Androids now. We can say that the unknown force has ordered the creation of some androids (Since Frieza's World Trade Organization has shown that it has some professors that are even skilled enough to give Frieza a new body) but I really don't see the need for androids

 

Then don't put them in. I really don't think they should be included, as they would need some kind of purpose.
I think you have material for the starting post, to be honest, if you decided on the Super Saiyans.

 

I'm thinking about having a limit of three special attacks a character can learn. Opinions?

 

Depends what you mean by "special attacks."
A lot of special attacks in the series were shared by different characters like the Kamehameha.
Other attacks were unique to certain characters (Spirit Bomb).
Some attacks had names but weren't as strong as the above but could also have been unique or shared, do these count?

 

I meant ki attacks. The usual little ki blasts that everybody can do don't count. Ki Beams and balls like Kamehameha, Dodon Ray, Final Flash, special beam cannon, big bang attack final flash, etc count. I just don't want everybody running around firing a whole bunch of different types of attacks since it takes skill to master one

 

Makes sense. Of course, over time you might need to change that, depending on each person, you know?
