    That's... wow.. o.o

Seriously though! D8 Expose kids to that? That's like insaney! They're still innocent kids, and if they get expose to stuff like that, the picture isn't going to be pretty in the future. They probably will never look at Sponge Bob the same way ever again either. I am like litterally shocked that they would do that to a kid's cartoon... I think I'm over reacting, but hey... It's what I feel... ><

xD; I laughed until my eyes watered.

I can see why parents would be pretty pissed at that, but I find it more amusing than anything else.

They state themselves that this particular one is aimed at adults and only aired during shows aimed at adults. If kids do happen to see it then it is down to the parents who let their kids watch adult shows really.

I think people are over-reacting a little bit.

Ever since I first saw this commercial I have been waiting for this to happen. In all honesty it was just a matter of time. ._.
Nothing against Burger King, but that was just a really dumb move. Also, they say that it's broadcast on stations 'for adults,' but it's still promoting kids' meals. Doesn't matter what station they put it on, it was pretty obvious it was intended for children to see. If they had really intended it for adults, I think they would have mentioned something boring like the health benefits of apple dippers or something. >>

In any case, that's my two cents.

Actually if you read the artcile they say that it is aimed at adults, that the meal in this particular commercial is aimed at adults as a value meal.

Lol. I remember that commercial. That's really funny. xD I think that people are just over-reacting a bit. It's not like they showed Spongebob in one of those Girls Gone Wild commercial's or anything. And if it was targeting adults, then yeahhh...xD

Parents have no reason to complain about this commercial. I have seen it a few times on Comedy Central but never on any children channels. They actually have a different commercial for kids. If parents complain about the kids seeing the adult version of the commercial they should first ask themselves why they are letting their kids watch a channel aimed for adults. It's like somebody complaining that their child saw a commercial for Girls Gone Wild while watching late-night Spike or CC.

That article has videos from SpongeBob that point out sexual innuendoes and homosexual references. Spongebob has a lot of edgy stuff in it that usually just goes over the child's head. I don't see why they fuss over that commercial when the episodes have worse stuff in them and they're allowed to watch those.

Oh no, using a popular fictional character known world wide by children and dancing young attractive women to endorse a product in America.

    This is so new.

I saw it on quite a few channels around here. Including some that are things that kids watch. *shrugs* My reaction was: "This is for kids?! WTF?!" But now they're saying it's for adults, but they shouldn't have it on sports games and stuff, kids do watch that at all ages.

My mom saw it too, she hit the roof flipping out.

    Ouch! XD

I thought that commercial is hysterical ( and made me feel old...that song was huge while I was growing up...). The article says it's clearly aimed at adults. Over here, I've only ever seen it on certain channels at times when kids wouldn't normally be up during shows children wouldn't normally be watching. If kids are seeing this, it's because the parents are being careless and not monitoring what kids watch.

In all honesty, it really wasn't as bad at it could have been. Have you seen some of the cartoons on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network these days? There's so much adult humor in it that sails right over a typical kid's head. The parents are overreacting way too much here.

Honestly, this commercial isn't that bad. Most shows have stuff much worse than that on them, and it's like seeing a few women with phonebooks shoved in their shorts is going to mortally wound them. I personally find the commercial funny. :>

You get a kids meal for basically a buck if you buy a value meal. That's the advertisement. And you bring up a good point about what the kids watch on tv now. I can't stand the Simpsons, and that's supposed to be for kids.... Mostly... I know it's getting more graphic for kids, so I kinda see you guy's point.
