Kingdom Hearts II Demyx prounounced

okay, me and my friend always fight on how to pronounce demyx's name. i say it like (dem-e-yex) and he says it like (dem-x) which do you think is right???

 

I like its sort of like Di-em-yx

 

I always thought it was (De-mex)

 

I've always pronounced it like Da-mix or Dem mix

 

I pronounce it Deh-Mix just as I always pronounce Tidus as Tie-Dus

 

I like to pronounce it like Dem mix. Kapish?

I didn't know Saix was pronounced either Si-axe until I saw a cutscene from fm+

 

That's how i always attempted to pronounce it. These names all look hard to pronounce to me, but once you hear how it is actually pronounced i feel rather daft for not knowing.

I agree with this pronunciation, but I tend towards phonetic pronunciations, so...yeah.

Dem-e-x, or Dem-ik-ku-su. I like saying it the Japanese way. It's more original.

I've always said "Dem-MY-icks."

When I first saw his name, I thought "Demetri (Dem-ME-tri)," so Dem-MY-icks is how I first pronounced it.
Or something like that....
I know that's not right, but that's how I've gotten used to saying it. My nephew says "DEM-icks."

No, I'm pretty sure the game never says his name. Wish it did... I'd really like to know how to pronounce his name for real... Wonder if 358/2 Days will tell us (if it has voice acting).

I've always said Dem-Icks, but I've got a friend who says it Dem-ee-icks. It's almost as bad as our Sai-ecks or Say-ecks argument for Saix. We had to watch a cutscene to get the sound right.

Unfortunately, no ones says Demyx's name throughout the whole game, so...

 

It's pronounced Deh-mix, I believe. It seemed pretty straight out though the 'y' can sometimes be a yeh sound, in this case it's a soft 'i' sound. However, it also might be Dem-eekz because of the 'I' being the sound of a strong 'e'.
