Digimon: Xros Wars Abridged

This has been talked about for quite some time in the skype area chat. We would like to abridge the never been dubbed, and never been abridged show of Digimon season 6, Xros Wars. We will currently be casting parts for the first 3 episodes and go on once all are full.

We currently have a writer who is Peace and War
We also already have an editor for this which is myself, Myst
We will also be the co managing this project.
We still need an audio mixer, however. Someone please offer to help with this.

I understand it is a lot but as voice actors come around, the list will become smaller as long as actors take on more than just one character. Record some lines from the original anime. Taiki: Loud, teen, carefree, assists to feed his steroid addiction (?)

Akari: Loud, attention seeking, an accent of some sort

Zenjiro: Seemingly unimportant, ignored, annoyed, accent

Nene: Annoying, Beverly Hills Girl, OMG alot, nail chipped, stuff like that

Kirha: Dark, geeky but hides it, calm, cold, insulting, sarcastic

DIGIMON

Shoutmon: Loud, brash, frat party boy?

Starmon: Posh, British, white man, oppressing Pickmonz, idiot, gives lashes and shiz
Pickmonz: Minority accent (Hispanic, Asian, Indian, etc) oppressed by Starmon, slave like role, seek rebellion from him

Ballistamon: Robotic, Glados sounding, computer jokes? SURFER DUDE?

Madleomon: Random mad noises, eloquent with a sophisticated lexis

Orochimon: Speaks in Harry Potter snake language thing

Greymon: Roars?

Lilithmon: Male sounding like a woman in drag? I could probably do that quite well, unfortunately.... ;.;

Cutemon: Deep, soulful, sensual, maybe JAMAICAN?

Dorulumon: Ho, street, stereotypical black woman, attitude. God, so racist, i'm sorry people for seeing my brain ;.;

 

I would like to try for a voice actor, no idea who, but yeah.

I would take a voice acting role as well but give me a bit to find out which character I may be able to pull off. I plan to watch these three episodes at the least.

To be honest, I think that voice might suit a Digimon better. I'll let you decide.

All you need is to pick some characters and record yourself doing the voices. Preferably different pitches for different characters. Then send in the lines to the email listed.

All of them are left. We have not decided who is who whatsoever yet.

You have to audition by recording yourself saying a few of that character's lines then send them to xrosabridge@gmail.com then they'll look through them and decide who has got who. Links to the first 3 episodes are on the first post.

 

Alright, so, when it comes to the voice acting, I have some general ideas of how I want certain people to talk, and have such given you a list below about my ideas of characters speech and style.
If you think you can do something like that, whether it be very good quality or not, doesn't matter as long as it's entertaining.
And you don't have to listen to my ideas, if you can do a great audition and impress me, I will change characters to suit your ability more or change them altogether! So do your best, and that's all you need.

Concerning lines, you can take ones directly from the show or make up ones in the style of the way you think the character might act. AS long as it's in clear quality, and understandable (unless it's specified to be not understanable) then your audition should go fine.

And even if we don't pick you for the character you audition as, we may ask you to come back and do someone else altogether that may suit you more.

My random quick notes below on the characteristics of the characters:

 

Okay, we have reached a road block and need someone to play Taiki, our main male role. Our wonderful Ace has gone to better things so we need a replacement.

 

I may not be a boy, but is it still alright if I can try for Taiki? I think I can perform a sort of pre-teen boyish voice (kind of like the Japanese dub), but if it is an actual male voice, I can understand.

(The only reference I have at the moment are my KH1 Sora voice tracks...)
