Do people normally get over phobias?

I used to have arachnophobia, and I used to be scared of any type of spider, but today I woke up with one on my face, and I just grabbed it and put it outside.

Do people normally get over phobias?

Im deathly afraid of those hairy centipedes. I think theyre called firebrats or something. Part of the silverfish family. I dont like spiders either

I have the natural phobia of heights, and rats, and death.....

and no, it is sometimes difficult to get over phobias.

 

I can understand being afraid of them. They are toxic after all.

 

I'm deathly intimidated by any insect. Grotesque little creatures. D: I can easily say I'm not getting past it soon....

 

Well, I used to have a little phobia of when people seperated their toes (like, without using their hands..). Weird, I know. Then I actually learnt how to do it myself and I wasn't freaked out by it anymore. xD;

Still deathly afraid of spiders though.. o.o;

 

You mean those spiders with those legs that stretch up to 5 inches long? i saw one! I freaked out!

 

I got over my fear of skeletons. But now I have major aracniphobia and the fear of rotting corpses which includes zombies. Yet I play and love RE4...

Im not really afraid of spiders....i used to be though...
Im not afraid of death because i know we have to die sometime, right?
I used to be afraid to skeletons but now im not because i know they are just people who have died.

I guess fear is a place that hasint discovered Like or Love....

Yeah, same here. The only insect I'm not afraid of is the ladybug. :\

I also have a phobia of...failure? I don't know what to call that. =P
