on my agenda for school i wrote "Emo Kid" For halloween im going to be emo. my favorite color is black and pain dosnt really effect me.

 

those aren't the symptoms of a moderrn emo

 

Uh, No, hun. Let's put it this way, you're (emo)tional/clinically depressed if you make self-inflictions just for the please(like me) and feel suicidal, always finding ways to try and kill yourself, and at times, attempting. You aren't very social around your parents or family members much either. Most Emotional kids wouldn't dress up as an 'Emo Kid' it just gives off a plain signal to the parents. You wouldn't be an Emo Kid if you want to be one for Halloween. Too apparent.​

 

See the above is what emo started as. But now emo has exploded into the entire scene of tight jeans, band shirts, checkboards, converse, and undertoned hair. So it really depends on what kind of emo you mean. If you mean as in emotional, only you know that -- but if you're talking about the fashion scene, I have no idea.

And I'm sorry to say, but pain doesn't really affect anyone after it heals. And Black is loved by tons of non=emos.
