East Ridge Proposed Dress Code for 2007-2008


Shirts

-All button up shirts will have only the top button (if any) undone (excluding the collar button).
-All shirts must have sleeves.
-All shirts must be long enough to pass the straight-arm test/NO SKIN (belly or back)
-No clothing advertising alcohol, tobacco or inappropriate designs or comments.
-All blouses or shirts must be worn modestly (no cleavage or underwear showing).

Pants/Skirs/Shorts
-All pants, skirts, shorts must be no shorter than the knee
-Pants must be worn at waist, NO SAGGING
-No Holes in pants
-Frays in pants allowed as long as no skin or underwear shows
-PE instructors will inform students of the appropriate attire for PE classes. PE APPROVED CLOTHING WILL ONLY BE WORN DURING PE CLASSES AND NOT OUTSIDE OF THE GYM AREA.


Additional Items
-Clothing made of spandex, sheer fabric, or fishnet is not allowed
-Jewelry: No chains on pants or wallets. Students must remove any jewelry deemed dangerous or inappropriate
-No hats or head coverings inside or outside possession. No bandanas.
-No sunglasses (unless deemed as a medical necessity)
-Drinks/Food-no open containers outside the cafeteria. No open containers can be brought into the building.

The skirt of my uniform is shorter than the knee. :\

 

The school has only been open 5 years and we've had more than 3 school shootings each year along with weapon threats...I'm not attending yet but will be in my freshman year starting in august! yipee..lol...
East Ridge is one of the worst high schools in the state and one of the most dangerous...

Wow that is strict , at my school my dress code is less stricter.

Shorts: When worn , your fingers ,when arm is relaxed must be shorter. Same thing with skirts.

Tanktops : NO TANKTOPS
(Curse them)
and that's about it.

we have a code. strict too, not enforced.
often times, you see ALOT more than ANYONE would want to see ._.
like jelly rolls and people that REALLY need to be wearing a bit more...
my skirts are way too short. not because i particualrly want them like that, but the ones that fit my waist are really short. 0s +1s are made too tiny -_-'
as for the cleavage-dont ever show it. just dont think its nessecary and I CAN avoid it xD

I sort of dread my freshman year cause I'm thinking of wearing a tank top and a mini skirt. Who cares about the rules...screw them...lol...

I get detention every other day for disobeying the dress code. I always have my shirt unbuttoned with the collar up high. I act like a giant ******bag! lolz

 

The only dress code I can think of in my school is a skirt rule...

But no one pays attention to that, and I hate skirts.

Plus we can't wear jewelry that can be used as a weapon. o.o
