Ugh, I listen to way too many OSTs for my own good. Though my top three are as follows: 1. InuYasha 2. Okami 3. Kingdom Hearts (all) 4. Rurouni Kenshin 4. FFVII: AC Individual songs: Homage for InuYasha (InuYasha) Fallen Angel (Rurouni Kenshin) Digging Here, Bow-Wow! (Okami) The Sun Rises Again (Okami) Opening Theme (FFVII:AC) Fantasia Alla Marcia (KH) There's a LOT more but I don't remember the names, and if I typed them all it would probably take up the page. xDD
Yeah, I know a lot more OSts than I have listed too. We must be knowledgeable on different OSTs. O_O XD
...Did I really type "three" and put five? God I must be half asleep or something. xDDD But yeah. Most OSTs I listen to are from anime and video games, rather than movies and such. It all comes with being extremely obsessed. I do like instrumental versions of some songs, though, like Dearest from InuYasha and Nightwish's Dark Passion Play. I have DDR songs too, but I don't really consider those instrumental or OSTs. >_>
ANYTHING FROM AKIRA YAMAOKA. All the Silent Hill music, ambiance included is ingenious. Gurren Lagann OST is incredible. KH stuff can be cutesy/fun at times. Don Davis' scores from M1,2, and 3 are incredible. I also will always love the work the Dust Brothers did for FIGHT CLUB.
I have a lot of favorites but right now these are my fav OSTs 1. BLEACH: Diamond Dust Rebellion OST 2. Vampire Knight OST 3. Final Fantasy VII Advent Children OST - enough said 4. Kaibutsu Oujo (Princess Resurection) OST - I was listening to this as I was reading New Moon 5. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban OST - I actually like all of them so far but that's my favorite
Personally, I don't know about an OST, but my favorite Instrumental song would have to be "Lux Aeterna" by Clint Marshall and the Cronos Quartet. Amazing stuff right there. It's been used in a lot of things, too -- Requiem for a Dream, rap songs, and there was an edited version in Lord of the Rings.

LIES LIES LIES. That song is called Requiem for a Tower, it's an edited version of the song from Requiem for a Dream. :'D
HigherBeing and I took the original song (Requiem for a Dream) and edited our own version. So yeah... who cares about the title, you know the song I'm talking about. >l
Megaman, Kingdom Hearts, Sonic, Golden Sun, Cowboy Bebop and Bleach are the ones I listen to the most. I mean the entire series when I say "Kingdom Hearts," "Megaman," etc.
