You do law and political stuff, what's up with this new socialist guy beating Sarkozy in the polls. A colleague called him a Neo-Nazi trying to stop immigration and send non-French speakers out of the country. True or false?
I think your friend has got it mixed up. Shows he doesn't know anything about socialists, either. François Hollande (The New socialist guy) wants to control immigration, but wants to get an actual financial boost out of it. He wants more students from abroad and he also wants to help Nationality-Mixed couples (A French and a German for example). He actually says that immigration is weak in France. The only thing he's against is illegal immigration, which is obvious. You friend might have been thinking of Marine Le Pen, right-wing extremist. I don't know what it is with other countries and socialists. You guys have such a bad idea of them. He says one simple thing and you take it out of context >_> So yeah, big false for your friend. Frankly, I hope he wins. I'm tired of Sarkozy. Five years of him is tiring. I'd like to see what someone new can do.
I did think that SHE was likely being over the top and contaminated by bad information. Well, I suppose he sounds alright, but at least from what I've seen of British Politicians *cough* Nick Clegg *cough* whatever they promise doesn't mean they'll actually enact. Promotes the idea of politicians being liars and cheats. You might be tired of Sarkozy, but be thankful he wasn't a mad man like Belusconni. This quote: Soooooooooooooo inappropriate.
To be fair to Nick Clegg he's kinda been made the demonised figure in all of this coalition thing. I mean, he did promise some stuff, but the stuff they tried to put through just didn't get done because the Tories turned on them as far as I can see. Off topic I know but ehh.
I don't care that he might not of got them through, but he had no passion once it was a coalition, I believed he would make change and do something different. To know simply they he put them through, got rejected and he gave up then I thought was pathetic and not the actions of someone trying to lead a country. He didn't care and he didn't fight, simple.
