Goldilocks and the Jivin Bears

    I don't think Goldilocks and the Jivin' Bears is as good as Coal Black, but it definitely has a lot going for it. For starters, unlike many other black character cartoons from many other cartoons, this one's laughs and characters have more substance. Like Coal Black, it's a celebration of black culture and entertainment, rather than playing off the fact that the characters are black stereotypes. It also has some great music and hilarious animation (Greg Duffell believes the take of Red at the end may be a rare Manny Gould scene).

    Gerry Chiniquy's bit of Goldie dancing with the wolf is not only insane, it takes from real life, because we all know what it's like dancing with that crazy chick at those parties. It's definitely one of Friz's best ones.
