I'm confused as to why they picked Hitler, I understand that it makes them both mass murderers,but the way it's protrayed seems wrong to me.​

 

...thats just creepy. I can understand why they did it, but...I'd like to think I'm smart enough to never need to see this advert.

 

Finally, Hitler's face being used for the power of good!

 

These days shock and controversy is almost a necessity if you want to convey your message in such a way that people will actually heed it. I can see why they have chosen Hitler of all people.

 

It makes sence to me.

 

It makes sense, but seems unnecessary to me. What if some idiot construes it as that everyone with AIDS is a Nazi? Don't say it won't happen, there are people out there that assume anything they see or read is true...

I understand why they used Hitler, but gah :x looking at that picture makes me shudder.

I also think quite a few people will complain that people with AIDS have been falsely labelled, especically if it wasn't their fault that they got the disease.

 

To much going on in the world for it to really impact people i think.

 

I'm pretty disappointed if we're really at the point where using Hitler is necessary to project a message.

 

This doesn't make any sence to me.
Why would people with AIDS complain about AIDS being compared to Hitler?
They were both mass murderers that killed people who had no fault.

Still, with that being said, I dont know why they would show a Hitler-lookalike having sex.

Hitler = mass murderer
AIDS = mass murderer

Unless that guy knows he has AIDS and is purposefully having sex with people so that they get aids, it only makes it seem as though people with AIDS are bad people. Some dont know they have it until its too late. =/

People with AIDS would complain beacuse THEY are being compared to Hitler, not the disease. I mean, you can't have sex with AIDS itself can you? With this, I feel that anyone with AIDS would just be viewed as people trying to pass on the disease, which I'm fairly certain is not the case.

 

It warns about AIDS by likening it to Hitler, someone who is considered by the majority of the world to be evil. It's not setting him in a good light at all. His face isn't showing a good example, it's setting a bad example which we have sense enough not to follow, because it's fething Hitler.

 

Comparing unprotected sex to the mass genocide of the Jewish race is completely immoral and unneeded. You get AIDS for not using a condom. Hitler killed the Jews because he was an insane dictator who used the Jews as a scapegoat for Germany's problems. There is no likeness in the two.

 

No birth control method in history has ever completely guaranteed protection from any STD. The only way to ensure that you'll never get AIDS is to not have sex.

That said, they do lower the risk. It's still there, though.

And since they're both mass murderers (AIDS and Hitler, that is), they can indeed be compared. One will kill you just as dead as the other.

 

It's not even a start. There will be no start. Nothing can ever atone for killing millions of innocent men, women, and children because they were Jewish, or gay, or whatever. Nothing. That man shouldn't be forgiven for what he's done. If we even let a small start like that happen, eventually, he'll be completely forgiven, it will be forgotten, and it will happen again.
