I will occasionally check mine for a laugh, both at how vague they are, and how often nothing remotely similar to them ever happens to me. Other than that, the only superstition I follow is the "knock on wood" thing, just cause it makes me feel better.

So to answer your question: Load of crap. Definitely.

I read them for the craic. They are worse than religion in terms of validity (hardly seems possible tbh ;D). They are vague and designed to apply to anyone and everyone. Especially considering that a couple of sentences are supposed to apply exactly to everyone born in a month and a half or so.

People interpret what they want to interpret, simple as that.

I dont know, some of the stuff in my horoscope is actually true. What I think is a load of crap is the love compatibility. Thats absolute sh*t.

I don't believe in them. Me and my friends sometimes check them and compare for laughs but that's about it. Astrology is a load of bull.

I read the occasional horoscope when I come across them simply for the sake of passing time and also to think of how the same thing can happen to everyone in a certain birth date at the same time, which is most unlikly.

I generally just read them for fun. They really can be quite amusing sometimes. But I sure don't take them seriously or anything.

Whilst I don't read it every day and obsess over it, I do think that some element of horoscopes is accurate.

Not the "you will have great luck today, single? Love shines with the letter J" type of horoscopes but the actual art of astrology.

I think a lot of horoscopes now are just about people pleasing etc, but back when astrology was taken a lot more seriously, it had a lot going for it.

I still think now that the basic roots have a lot going for them. I know that I definitely fit the profile of a sagittarius for example whereas the profile for a Pisces doesn't fit me at all.

    Agreed.

The characteristics of a pisces are like...well, basically everything I am O_O Compared to people who are Leo's for example, who are socialble and outgoing etc. So its either pure coincidence that a lot of us are like our star signs... or it actually means something :V

I read horoscopes for a laugh sometimes. Theyve never come true for me. Ever. @_@

The stars have no more power than the blades of grass you mow over. I refer you to your quote beneath:

It is absolute nonsense to believe that billions of balls of burning gas so far away they look like points of light have any bearing on our lives. Might I remind you that this was a pseudoscientific religion developed in the Dark Ages, when people also thought they could turn iron into gold by mixing it with weird substances and blood sacrifices (yes, it actually happened)?

my religion has nothing against them but i personally like to look at daily horoscopes to laugh... i mean, sometimes (well MOST of the time) you read yours and go: "wow... wtf??!!" LOL really its kinda funny how people buy books and kits based on them when really its sorta a load of bull

They're full of bull. people just write obscure random things for horoscopes that could be applied to anything. This makes it difficult for them to be "wrong". But really, they do mean nothing and you shouldn't pay them any heed.

That's the point. They're made to be so vague that they're applicable to everybody.

I rarely take the time to read my horoscope. I, like many others here, consider it a false trick in the name of entertainment, nothing more. The certain "attributes" or "qualities" of what are called "star signs" are usually taken from the observation of a group of people under the same "star sign", where their similarities are noted, I believe.

I agree about it changing. I appreciate the history and science of it in the past, but since it's a filler in magazines or turns up in internet popups I just think of it as commercial. It was fun years ago until I got sick of it being worthless.

I fit my Pisces profile so much it seems real, but since other Pisces I know don't fit it I can't believe in it, so all that's left to like is its past.
