The statement 'Innocent until proven guilty' is actually 'guilty until proven innocent'

It works both ways. They just word it like that to give the convicted a sense of public innocence.

 

it makes everything seem so ****ing fair when it actually isn't and just wants to piss you off

"Guilty until proven innocent" means, if nobody defends your case, you'll have a sentence to serve.
