A game with a really cool soundtrack, but not like an old gameboy game with an epic 16-bit one, but more like God of War, Dragon Age, epic stuff like that.

    Go.

Okami. It's more traditional Japanese-styled, but it's still incredible.

Other than that...Twilight Princess, maybe some stuff from older Sonic games.
Possibly Lord of the Rings too.

That's an understatement. You pretty much can't go wrong with Sonic music, although they're not as big on the orchestral tracks. There's at least one in each game though, as far as I can remember, and they're usually really good.

Also, second Bayonetta, and Devil May Cry as well. Their soundtrack is sharply divided between hard industrial and straight orchestral; both are phenomenal, but the latter is especially impressive in the later games.

Seriously though, get Super Robot Taisen: Endless Frontier, the music is epic, and the gameplay is quite good.

Gothic. The graphics aren't overwhelming, but the games are awesome, at least the first two.

This! Google Project Chaos for some cracking Sonic 3 And Knuckles remixes. That or you can google for the original, but i suggest looking into this.

A personal favourite is Walk on Water, but SnappleMan is probably my favourite remixer overall.

I've had the album for years and i still love it!

Also, check out Final Fantasy IX, one of the best FF soundtracks that is often overlooked.

Shadow of the Colossus OST is stunning! You can't go wrong with that. And if you like Zelda i suggest some of it instrumental albums. Beautiful.

It should, seeing as there's orchestrated versions of everything on the OST. Which is amazing even without the orchestra.

    So yeah.

    Guitar Hero/Rockband? (shot)

Hmm, although DMC normally has good music DMC4's music sucks ass. Not because I dislike the song (emphasis on song) it plays but because it plays that one song so goddamn much.

Assassin's Creed 2 has some pretty good epic music actually. Same for Spider-Man Web of Shadows.

Now, if you want good music, but not exactly "epic," go for Burnout Paradise. That game has so many songs which I thought sucked on their own which are actually amazing when combined with the graphics/sounds of a fast-paced racing game. Just a few suggestions...although look at the reviews for these games too. You dont want a game with an awesome soundtrack with ****** gameplay. coughwebofshadowscough

    Seconded, for this.

Pretty much the only version of this song I am still incapable of hating out of spite.

Personally I prefer the Metal version in AC. Then again I am bias since I listen to mostly metal anyway.

For game soundtrack, I recommend ocremix. They have lots of cool OST remixs for various games. One good one is a remix of the original OWA, called 'Black Wing Metamorphasis'. Its pretty kickass.

Oh no, yeah, I like that one too. It's easy to hate on because "Lol official metal mixes suk" but it's actually pretty well crafted.

Speaking of OWA, this song pissed me off because THEY'RE DOING IT WRONG
