I got an iPad for graduation from this family that has more money than mine because they roll that way. I never wanted one, I still don't want one, but unfortunately I have a heart so I couldn't in all good conscious sell it. However I also have a computer and iPhone (I feel terrible. I didn't ask for it, I swear.) so this iPad is pretty useless. What are some (FREE) things you would recommend for it to actually give it some purpose? As long as I have it I might as well do something with it. For the record, I actively dislike Apple. despite all evidence to the contrary
For the record, I want you to stay out of my sections or I will delete all of your posts. How could you hate Apple? Why not Pear, or Lemon, or even Raspberry? Huh?
Lifehacker's got a pretty extensive list of app recommendations. Some of them (WeekCal is the only one I know for sure off the top of my head) do have a price attached, but the majority are free.
You may like it for college because you can use it for ebooks (which are often a lot cheaper than the full textbooks), just because those can be a pain to display on your laptop. The Kindle app would be good for that. I've an iPhone but all I really use it for in the way of apps is Twitter and Craigslist. Don't really get the fuss tbh.
Try going to a manager meeting because Audio Note will save your life. There's also the fact I can use it as a mouse when my PC is hooked up to my TV. Oh! And my flashlight so I don't trip at night! Skypeing you fools while at work. And mobile banking has saved my life.
That's something my parents recommended. I didn't get any ebooks this semester but I may try it out next. I also feel that way about the iPhone. I got it on the recommendation of a friends because it could do "all this stuff" and after having it for two years I don't care. I have no interest in any apps for my phone.
What a simple little life you lead that the ability to look at your bank balance at any time and record audio saves it.
donate it, give it to goodwill, give it to me. these are all options. i highly recommend the latter though.
It's all about aiding simple stuff. Imagine being at work and not being able to use a computer to check- you want lunch from a fast food joint but you need to know your budget so you don't over spend. BAM! I enter in my password and I can plan a budget till my next paycheck. I didn't have to plan a portion of my tiny lunch break to finding an ATM that won't charge me Now recording meetings is nice, but so is being able to type notes within the same application, put up pictures related to it, and be able to touch the note or the picture and take me to that exact part of the meeting so I can relisten without having to scroll or guess
