    On Facebook and then proceed to unfriend the 100 some "friends" who bore me?

    Because I think it might be. Eh, they'll figure it out.

    EDIT: Is it possible to select all my friends and then deselect the ones I want to keep? This is getting tedious.

    More likely than not they won't even see that post if you defriend them soon after posting that. Unless you went and posted that on the individuals walls.

    Well I have it set to Public. So if they notice that I unfriended them and go to refriend me, they'll see it.
