taking another crack at sig making. Before I show what I got. I'll point out a few things you should know before citiquing: I prefer a more simplistic style. It's rare to find something from me with loads of texture, more than one subject, or lots of space filler. Personally, I love one or two color themes. It's a personal preference, though I try not to do it all the time I use Photoshop CS5 and do not care to switch programs The first one was made with my own artwork and some free resources The others are from official images and sprites with free resources
You don't need to switch programs to make art. It's all about how you make it and how you want it to become. First Piece: I like the placement of things, works rather well. The use of texture is also well done in that regard, gives the stock more of a way to transition into the background. The only thing that personally bothers me is the brightness. It seems a bit too dark for my personal taste, but otherwise wonderful. Second Piece: I thoroughly enjoy this piece. The abrupt transitions of color really work well with it, makes it look rather good. I especially like how you have Joshua's eyes glow and such. Nicely done. Third Piece: I like the position of Riku and the way the background is rolling, but I feel that the blurring of Riku is lackluster in the overall performance of the piece. Otherwise nicely done!
