Kingdom Hearts II KH2FM English patch?

Hello. im wondering, does anyone have an english patch for KH2FM? if not, can anyone possibly make one? if its been posted before, the search button has a restraining order on me.

 

I don't think there is one... I only know of KH Re: CoM english patch. And don't ask for someone to make one xD It's difficult and it needs a whole team not only one guy, and lots of organising :P

 

the amount of time to change parts of the game mmay take a few hours actully the 358/2 patch was done in a few hours but hardly anything english was done :D

 

can i get the 358 days patch

 

I haven't heard yet of a KH2:FM English Patch. No one has probably bothered since the game is already known in English and if you are speaking of an emulator to play the game and get English, you'll have to check around. As for 358/2 Days, there's no need for a patch. The game comes out to English speaking territories soon.

I think carey is working on a kh2:fm english patch. Or at least used to be.

 

Yes. He's only done two scenes.

I also remember PMing him on YT about it, and he said he probably wouldn't do any more. But if he did, he said he would do the Zexion & Xigbar scene next.

 

No KH2FM+ Patch, maybe what Carey did, but nothing major game-team-translation-team scale.

Also, all of the new games come out in english later, except Days(only on japaneses phones i think)

 

you mean coded, days is coming out in english for the ds late september.

hes workng on it again and its almost done hes translated a few of the sceenes and most of the menus and this is in the description of his video

A: Because KH2FM doesn't have a full set of lowercase letters. Using only some lowercase would make this look -very- ugly and make your eyes cringe.

I thought it would be easy to do a patch since one could hack into KH2 and take all of the English text to incorporate it into KH2FM. If one where to do this, KH2FM could be enjoyed as much as English KH2.

 

^Yea but we can use translation guides for those one. Anyways will she be doing redits for the scenes that were including in 358/2 days? Also is it possible to put sound files from the cutscenes of 358/2 days that was in KH2FM+ into the game or patch?

It's not as simple as swapping the files.
I won't bore you with the details why, but its more work then its worth to take that route.

I will translate those Final Mix exclusive scenes, eventually.
I won't be adding english voices to those scenes.

Yes, it is possible.
But I am not interested in doing so.

No, you must burn the game to a blank DVD.
Your PS2 must also be capable of loading back-ups (burnt games).

Their are many ways to do that, use google in case you need a way.

 

That is fine, althoguh I prefer the english voices since it would make the scene more engaging I appreciate what you are doing and if you do end up changing your mind or getting someone else to add voice to the patch then I be even more super happy and so would many other people, but I guess it your choice.

I read your blog, Majik. I can't help with Japanese translation, but I'm wondering if you're gonna translate ALL of the menus and the text-box cut scenes in the game. It should be simple. You could just use the English version of KH2 and write all of the English text into the English patch of KH2FM. I can help you with THAT if I can.
