O.O People dont like Utada Hikaru!?

Im pretty sure this is in the right section.
I never thought this could happen but, somebody said that they hated Utada! They said she should learn how to sing and jump off a cliff! D:
Do people really not like her singing?
I think she's fantastic!

 

So do I,she's the only Japanese famous person I know that can sing in 2 languages flawlessly

But you're going to have to accept that people arent always going to like what you like.

People like Hillary Duff ... I hate the 1!7713 B17(}{ ... I hate how she can't sing yet she constantly does.
But people do think she's a good singer, and people do like her

 

Utada Hikaru is amazing in my opinion, but there are always haterz. *shrugs*

 

But Hillary Duff sucks >.< Though she's a singer, she doesnt have much of a pretty voice, and she doesnt have as much exsperiance (sp) as Utada Hikaru.
But, it just made me mad because they think she should die -.- I think her voice is the best ive ever heard.

I dun't hate music artists and singers, but I begin to hate their songs when they get killed by legions of AMVs with THE SAME MUSIC OVER AND OVER AGAIN

 

I love Utada Hikaru, but you can't expect everybody on this planet to like her.... But the whole "jump off a cliff" part was kinda harsh.

 

You have to realize, that most of her fan base resides in Japan, whereas this person most likely does not. It's kinda hard for people to love artists that don't primarily sing in their language. :P

Besides that, Utada is awesome, IMO.

I do enjoy her music, I'm not a HUGE fan, I've only listened to her songs on KHI and II. They are awesome so shes good ^^

I don't know, a lot of people have different tastes, but no one should jump of a cliff, it should be forced by a push :D:D:D

Utada Hikaru is a great singer to me. Not everyone is going to like one singer ever though and her fan base is in Japan but there are probably people there who don't like her as well. I can say I don't like most country music singers of today but I wouldn't want to wish them jump off a cliff. Some people though are very vocal on how they feel about people they can't stand and feel are over emphasized and glamorized for skill they don't see. We just have to assume they are speaking in those terms and not actually serious that they would mean such a thing...though a few now and then probably do.

 

Utada isn't my favorite singer. I have to admit that she does a good job on singing the Kingdom Hearts songs. I don't know Japanese (I'm taking the class next year) so I didn't start to like her until I listened to the English versions. But now that I'm use to her singing she isn't too bad. :)

 

Well, realize, everyone has their own opinion. Everyone can't like everyone. It's impossible.

I used to like her somewhat. She got old. I don't really mind. Anything is better than rap. :/

Well not everyone is going to like 1 thing. Everyone is different and has different opinions. Not everyone is going to like hearing music in another language.

I think she is a good singer, but not all that great IMO. I am aware of her huge fanbase in Japan. Though I do love Simple and Clean and it is impressive that she can sing English so well.

 

utada is a awesome singer i think,she one of the best janpanesse singers i've heard.
i like simple and clean in jap
but i like the kh2 song in english
