Which do you think is better? I say that the PSP is a great hand-held console, it can play music, store pictures, go on the internet etc. But thing is, is that though the PSP does all these things, the videogames for it sucks. The only good games for it are the Grand Theft Auto series. The best game for the PSP is the equvilent to the worst game for the DS. The DS's games are pretty awesome and it has Mario and Pokemon on it's side. So considering all these things, which system do you like better? Which is a better multi-media system? Which is the overall best game system?

Well I own both so it kinda hard for me...not really. But hardware wise PSP all the way. Games for it, well....okay its really laughable. DS not too great with hardware but really inventive. Games kick major ***. But its just a toss up for me.

    Hmmm tough choice...

I have both a DS and a PSP, and I'de have to agree with you, the PSP is pretty much only good for being multi-medial, while the DS has really good game selection.

DS's are also alot stronger than PSP's. I've had my DS dropped on cement, had pop spilled all over it, knocked into walls, and much more...

A couple of months ago, I had too much weight placed on the top of my PSP, and not only did the LCD screen shatter, but pretty much the entire top of my PSP was crushed, and now the joy-stick doesn't work properly, even after I paid a friend of mine $100 to try and repair it...

The PSP has better graphics than the DS... but with such a crappy game selection, what's the point? (I guess the movies... but still)

Over all... I'de have to lean slightly towards the DS when it comes to best system... it's cheaper, more durable, and over all more cost-efficient in the long run.

DS. My PSP froze on me on the way home from school on my bus while I was listening to music for no reason, there was nothing wrong with it neither. Now I can't turn it on. :(

You get a lot of people saying DS is better than PSP (not only because it sells more)

But.. I think it's hard to compare. In my personal opinion, both consoles have hardly any exciting games. PSP = GTA, Bleach: HTS series, Daxter, Fifa, NFS.. DS = FFIII, AC:WW, Resident Evil, etc. Those are about the only games I really like for them.

Although I will say that the PSP's battery life is really suckish compared to the DS, and the fact that it crashes =\ It's pathetic how many times I have to charge it because of the short longivity.

@ librekd: I see that now. XD

Yeah, it is hard to compare, because both systems have it's shares of pros and cons. I understand where your coming from.

I personally prefer the DS, i think the games are more fun to play.
The PSP has some good games but i don't really care that you can store music on it, that's why i have a mp3 player.

I agree with libregkd. Though there are not many good games on psp, the ones that are good are really high up there. But since you can hack the PSP, you can get hundreds of more games and even make your own flash games for PSP. And now i sound like a baiest jerk >:3

I have both a Nintendo DS and a PSP.I honestly prefer the Nintendo DS as I adore the Nintendogs series and the games on the PSP just don't suit me.The DS also have a touchscreen and not to mention you can download games from another DS and there is also wireless play.

Hehe...I had fun playing the Chronicles of Narnia with my friends. But yeah...I gave my brother the PSP because I don't really like the PSP.

    But the PSP's advanteges are better graphics,you can store your pictures and music and it is more popular.The DS has a wider variety of games and is more durable.Last time,the PSP memory chip came off. ^-^;

The DS' controls are much more easier and you can play simulation games on the DS because of the touch screen.

I played some great games on PSP but the battery and crashes are what really sucks... in my eyes, PSP is a computer, not a console. Pack too many things on there and it'll crash.

DS is just a handheld console designed for mostly gaming, and that is why in my eyes, DS is better.

    that's IN MY OPINION!

    I trust Nintendo with handhelds.

I'm yet to have any troubles with crashing with my PSP and i've had it for almost 2 years now. But the battery life is poor.

I personally hate BOTH the DS and the PSP. I mean, the PSP is basically a computer with a bunch of buttons that read a bunch of shapes. The DS is just a double screened thing that is touch screen. My PIANO is a cooler touchscreen that that.

Anyways, if I had to choose, I would choose the DS because of its compatibility with the Wii. And I just happen to own a Wii. xD
