    Well I have a program called Roxio Import 9 that can do it... but you should Google search DVD Ripper and see what comes up.

    You need:

    1. A DVD player installed in your hard drive:

    2. DVD ripping software or a device that can record whatever you're watching on your ocmputer screen.

    Oh I forgot! If you download the DivX package you can do it there too.

    When I ripped my X-Men DVD for a video i'm making, I used DVD Decrypter to get a VOB file for it and then converted it to avi, using a video convertor program.

    I believe Nero rips but I havent tried since I use it only for burning.
