Quick Question

So is Birth by sleep Volume 2 gonna be a game? Or did Square get soo busy that they forgot about birth by sleep volume 2?

 

It was never confirmed that they would be making it a game... or really even touched on. Given how silent they've been about it, I'm inclined to think that Birth by Sleep Volume 2 is simple Birth by Sleep Final Mix.

 

aw, but all those scenes were really nice looking. I thought for sure we'd get some sort of in-between kind of game

There is a certain part of the game that I still didn't understand. It's just after Ven and Terra's Keyblade defeated the Dark Sides. Aqua keeps the way and an is attacked by a Darkness Monster or whatever is that. What happened there?

 

It was (one of) the added bosses for the Final Mix, similar to how Sora fights Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, or how he fights the Lingering Sentiment. You can see the video here. I don't believe it's really canon though, or has much of any story relevance.

 

Now I really want that game in Final Mix.

I don't remember very well... but didn't Aqua, after fight with that monster, found a Castle in the middle of the Realm of Darkness? I don't remember if I saw this in cut scene or in a photo, but I'm sure she found something;

What was that? I don't recall know the story after that...

 

Then what happened after that? This is after Aqua defeated that Darkness whatever right?

 

Aqua is still in the realm of darkness, even after kh2. I'm willing to bet that she ran into Riku at some point though and gave him the Destiny's Embrace which, probably by her instruction, he gave to Kairi.

 

Cloudrunner is right, Aqua is still trapped in the Realm of Darkness--it's Sora's duty to save her & everyone else. She runs into Ansem the Wise there as well, as we saw in Blank Points. If you need a refresher, their conversation is here. But I believe they only showed Cinderella's castle (Castle of Dreams) shrouded in darkness to suggest that some time had passed, and that Maleficent was on the rise.

 

In KH1 if you talk to the fairy godmother without a summon stone she says her world fell to darkness or something like that. Could that be how it got there? Like that scene was just before KH1?

 

Yup, that scene does show to what she said.

I doubt BBS Vol.2 would be made into a game but its possible that the scenes would be in Kh3D or that mystery game thats after it.

 

Didn't Nomura say that 3D would lead directly into 3? So i'm pretty certain any game after 3D would be KH3.

 

I know I read somewhere there would be another game >> but if he did say its kh3 next then better.

 

To be honest, I think I was a little upset to hear that there was a chance of there being a Birth By Sleep vol.2. Don't get me wrong, that would be . . . okay and all, and I would probably end up buying it anyway, but I feel a little impatient. And so, I'm hoping that Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts III will be what comes out, and in succession, rather than having some in between game that would have a plot I can't even imagine.

What else could they add to the Birth By Sleep story? I'm pretty sure they could, but it would be . . . a little silly, to me.​

 

I don't believe he ever said directly, I think he said it was just leading up to KH3? I'm not sure. It seems like a kind KH3 prologue, with the Mark of Mastery exam and all.

Agreed, I mean, Ven is ded/Sora has his heart, Terra's body is taken over, and Aqua is trapped in the Realm of Darkness. Not much left to do but have someone save them. :v

 

I also don't see how it would be possible to be Aqua in the game. Would it really be much of a game if you are in the Realm of Darkness all the time? Maybe BBS V.2 could be Mickey's story from BBS-KH.

 

Well, after Birth by Sleep, Mickey didn't really do much. He might've spent a bit more time training with Yen Sid, but after that he's in Disney Castle with Minnie and co. until KHI.

I think BBS V.2 was only referring to BBS Final Mix. If there's a sequel coming, they'll announce it before KHIII.

 

If I remember correctly Nomura said 3D would lead into KH3 and that there was an unannounced or secret title.

I could be wrong but that's what I gathered.
