Reading Rainbow Kickstarter Launched

    LeVar Burton and the crew of the children's program "Reading Rainbow" have taken to the popular crowdfunding site in order to "Bring Reading Rainbow’s unlimited library of interactive books and video field trips to kids everywhere & help classrooms most in need!" With a goal of $1,000,000, the team plans to put Reading Rainbow online and also create a specialized classroom version, sending it to schools across America for free. Says Burton on the Kickstarter page,
    The Kickstarter page can be found here. As of posting, the project is at about $320,000—about 32% funded. The Kickstarter will end on July 2, 2014.

    I recall a few years back the they didn't want to return to TV, (Link) but it's nice to see they changed their mind.
    Hopefully they don't change the theme by too much.

    Update: They almost have half the money pledged now!

    So it's been less than 24 hours and we've already surpassed the $1 million goal! Here's hoping that the Kickstarter keeps getting donations to help this thing go even further![DOUBLEPOST=1401392103][/DOUBLEPOST]As of today, about 48 hours after its launch, the Kickstarter has reached almost double its $1 million goal!
