Recommended Virus Protection?

    My sister's computer is suffering from viruses and spyware, any recommended programs?

    AVG free, its free (duh >_>) and it updates itself.

    I'm having that problem atm but it's a lot better now.

    I was recommended the following:

    AVG Free, Avast!, Spy-Bot and Ad-Aware.

    Why can't you people buy some anti-virus like Norton. I normally would but my computer i a lost cause.

    Yes ad-aware and spy-bot search and destroy are also good, also zonealarm for a firewall.

    I have Norton, but the thing is it's expired. D: And well, I dunno how to re-new it other than having to pay online, which is a big no-no to my parents.

    I use to have Mcafee but they stole £50 from my dad. When i say stole i really mean they atuomatically took £50 from my dad's credit card to renew my subscription. It made my dad angy & that's the story as to how kitty lost her protection.

    If your willing to spend money, go with Spyware Doctor. It's done an absolutely beautiful job, and I never have any problems with it. That's my suggestion, anyways.

    Spysweeper, Spyware S-E personal/professional.

    or just use Spybot search & destroy with Spyware Doctor.

    I am going to try AVG free virus scan and spybot search and destroy, hope it works or she might yell at me again.....
