Recording Studio

Alright, I need you guys to be serious for a second. I've been talking to the other staff members about a possible recording studio. I'm not going to discuss what we we feel, but I think it would be an awesome addition to KHV. I need you guys to get involved and just answer the poll above with your opinion so we know if it is a good or bad addition to KHV. I'm trying to gather up everything, so if you guys have any idea's let me know. Here's what I got so far.

Recording Studio
Discuss the work from members on the forums. You can post clips of you singing, demo reels, and even radio plays that you've created. There's also room for sharing your fandubs, flash videos and any random thing you want to put in (example: poetry readings, monologues, impersonations and etc). Feel free to post your voice and etc for other members to hear. Plus, cast members in productions for Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and any other media outlets. Need some feedback or some critique? This can be the place for it.

I'm working hard on this. I want to present something for you guys, so share your opinions. This can also be good for the top five on the main page.

It sounds interesting, I doubt I'll be checking it too much, since I never really check the fanmade videos nor the Audio Portal.

I don't really do much singing any more, but I'd be down for doing a few poetry readings or so.

Actually a group of friends on KHV & I are putting together a cover of a song right now, kinda interesting that this thread comes up at this time. <3 We could debut it on KHV radio hurr hurr.

I think making an entire section for this right off the bat is a mistake, and I still think it will be taking away from other sections if you do do it, for example, fan dubs can go in video editing, singing and musical related things can be put into music.

I am probably going to get *****ed at for this but I also think that making a new section that contains so much is a mistake when you don't have staff to cover all the sections that there already are. I know that you were after having this particular section the last time you brought it up Mike, and I still think that you wouldn't be the best choice for it, I really don't mean to offend you but I think you would be a pretty ****** sec mod, (yes I know you have Upcoming KH but that is related to being a reporter).

Before adding new sections, I kind of think the priority should be sorting out the ones already in existence, not to mention other issues that need to be sorted.

p.s I am not trying to tell staff what to do before anyone starts baaawing at me or about me like the last time I tried to give a staff member advice :lolface:

I think it's a really good idea. I, for one, would use it often for a variety of things. And I don't see how it's a problem. This suggestion has been brought up before, and it seemed like a good bit of members were happy to contribute to the idea and to the section if one was made.

When someone posts music or singing in the music section, it doesn't get much attention because that's not what the majority of members who are active in that section go there for and that therefore discourages members from posting those things. It feels awkward posting my music somewhere it doesn't even seem to go. Same with fandubs. Some members decide to post their music or fan-dubs in the spamzone just for the attention. A new section provided for these things specifically would encourage members to post and provide/receive helpful feedback.

While it is important to sort through and take care of the current and existing sections, I feel it is just as important to add onto the site to increase members and liveliness. Not saying adding this section will do that automatically, but like other things, it's a step forward.​

 

I have to agree, if someone does post their voice in the music section, people avoid it. At least with this new section people can get praised or recieve cnc on their singing or their abikity to play music.​

Yes. This is a good addition to our forum.

 

Why bother? There are sections for this stuff. You should concentrate more on already pending add-ons than making more.
