Religion??

I have a relative that is Christian Scientist, and my parents are thinking about going to church. I have done some research, and it is about A person called Mary Baker Eddy. She believed that Jesus did not come to Earth to save us from our sins, but to show us what we can do. What do you think about this??

 

I don't really get it...to show us what we can do? How? From my recall Jesus did a lot of things that we can't do like WALK ON WATER!

I probably misunderstood the context?

 

Jesus didn't come here to show us what to do. That would defeat the purpose of saving us from our sins.

Because if you think hard enough everything we do is a sin.
