So, Doctor Who Series 7 Premiere

That was amazing.

It was decent, the "twist" was screaming at you the entire time though.

It was pretty obvious that there was going to be a twist there, but what the twist itself would be wasn't exactly obvious.

 

Are you serious? You didn't think that was obvious? I've read too many mystery novels in that case then, because it literally might as well have screamed at you that

Oswen was a dalek the entire time, maybe not so much that she was once actually human, but the fact it was a dalek directing them was pretty obvious from moment one

 

I was paying more attention to other aspects of the episode. I'm more of a, "What happens next?" person than a, "What will be revealed next?" sort of guy. That must be what led me to go along with all the little details. As far as I'm concerned, I think you're just a really good guesser.

The daleks never detected any human life on the planet, they'd easily be able to tell if it was a human, she didn't have a bracelet, so there's nothing to have stopped her from getting rewritten, the god damn milk and eggs, her ability to access dalek restricted information, piece by piece the puzzle became really obvious.

 

Well I wasn't piecing it together. I was paying attention to EVERYTHING, like you were.

But yes, the milk and eggs as well as the lack of a bracelet are what made me suspicious as well. I must have missed some other details because the stream froze and I had to reload it. As for her ability to access restricted information, I thought it was just extreme hacking skills like she said. Stranger things have happened on this show, so I went along with it.

 

A show performs at its best when it keeps you guessing, but it's not a bad thing to allow your viewers to solve the puzzle before the main heroes, it performed adequately and because of that, it was a decent opening.

I really liked it. The twist was well handled and the characters were well written. I caught on to her thing, again maybe not EXACTLY being a dalek, but certainly have been related to them in other ways though. Notice how her room looks sort of liek the inside of a dalek helmet ... there are other hints too.

But that's what I liked about it! I was looking forward to seeing their reactions when she was revealed to be one.

 

Me and a friend can't even watch the Doctor Who series 7 because our cable doesn't have BBC America......

He is kinda right. It may be one of the best TV shows of all time, but it's still just a TV show, and probably not the best.

Just saying, I am more curious to find out how she survives in order to become the new companion at Christmas since she is dead, she is a Dalek and in a dream state and she doesn't recognise the Doctor so she couldn't be another River-esque character. I'm also quite excited by the aspect that the Dalek's will have to rebuild their fear of the Doctor since they've forgotten him and his name no longer rings fear in their eyes. I reaaallly enjoyed it to be honest, it didn't disappoint me.
