We do that to my little brother's apples for his lunch. It also works on potatos.

I did that once with potatos, and then made french fries with them. :D

I just realised I am the oldest member to post in this thread. I feel privelleged.
And Xella, it's a turny twisty thing that you put an apple on. When you twist the handle, it twists the apple while a blade slices the apple. You can choose for the blade to just slice off the skin, to slice the skin off AND make the apple into a slinky and one other function which I forget.
