The sorrow long gone

Although the time of sorrow
Has long gone by in time
I can not help
But still cry for that time
I will never let the sadness
Pull me back to that time of sorrow
I will go on
No matter how many times I cry
For that time in sorrow

Wait I'm not sure I got it. The poem is about wanting to go back to the time of sorrow?

I know, those lines were what confused me since it looked like the poem contradicted itself. However a secodn reread helped me get it. I interpreted the lines that say you cry for that time a different way.

 

That was so cool. I can relate to this poem. You have a real talent for describing feelings.
