that's a load of rubbish. games are meant for everyone. (unless you are under the age of the restrictions of that game). No one says you can't buy this game just because you are 21.
Besides KH has a great story to it, so it's not just directed at a younger audience, but many people fail to see that.
It's kinda like Lego Star Wars, i love to play that with my wee bro & older sis, it's loads of fun (that's my opinion) & yet i hear loads of people say it's crap just because it's lego!!!
So my answer to your question "does that mean i can only buy M rated titles?", would be no. Not all M rated games are good, besides KH is a 12 over here. (i'm 18 by the way)

Age shouldn't matter, i'm pretty much 18 now and me and I have friends that enjoy the series. The Disney aspect give it a childish image, but it's more mature then it looks. There isn't a maximum age limit for it shouldn't matter what you play.

KH is a series that can appeal to anyone of any age. Square-Enix titles in general are more directed toward older audiences since the themes are usually more mature and can only be understood more readily by older groups people.

The Disney aspect allows KH to also connect with younger audiences as well, which is why this game has such a huge age range--and probably why it was so successful in any market.

What's also important to note is that the game(s) have several dimensions when you play through it. Younger audiences can find enjoyment in most of the storyline that is displayed on the surface (ex. the fantastical visuals of visiting other worlds, the slight comedy between some of the characters), and the older audiences can appreciate the more elusive themes that are embedded throughout each title (ex. In the first game, the theme of growing up and losing innocence was one, and in KH2, there was a major emphasis on the theme of identity and memory).

There's something to be found for anyone of any age in the KH series. The games themselves surpass age; they're timeless tales really--something both Disney and Square-Enix are really good at producing.

That is a very good explanation, it is one of the reasons why i love Disney & Square-Enix so much. :D

I don't think it matters. You like what you like and nobody can do a thing about that, except you. As a few people have said before me, this game appeals to all ages. Isn't that why it's rated E??? For Everyone. I hope this helps. ^_^

I'm 21 and I love KH1 and KH: CoM. I don't think it's weird, if something is good it's good. If you enjoy something then by all means enjoy it. That's all there is to it.

Anyway, KH1 has a great and somewhat dark stroy. I see no reason it can't be loved by people in their 20s.

I've always thought that KH works a lot better if you're a fan in an older age range. It's a really deep, dark series; your average ten year old isn't going to grasp that. It's the Disney factor that scares away some older people, and it could be the Square Enix factor scares away some parents buying this game for their younger children. *shrug*
