So I'm posting this spur of the moment Ace Attorney fanfic that I may or may not continue here. It is called Special Someones, AKA: Pearl Goes Batshit Insane, AKA: Shut up, You Know Pearls Could Go Crazy at Any Moment. Nobody's That Completely Sweet and Innocent

I guess it all started with her. The day she was released from the penitentiary and visited Kurain for the first time since she was born.

It had been raining all day, and the sky was slowly filling with clouds, foreshadowing the thunderstorm to follow later that night. Sister Iris, having been sentenced to four years in jail for tampering with a crime scene, had finally been released and was visiting Kurain before heading back to Hazakura Temple. That evening, at dinner, something caught my ear.

"You know, Master Maya, I'm thinking about trying to pursue a relationship with Feenie again."
"Oh, really? How nice! Good luck finding him though. He was disbarred a few years ago and has pretty much dropped off the face of the earth. I hear he's got an adoptive daughter but...I seriously doubt that."

That little exchange made me question myself for a moment. Were Mr. Nick and Master Maya still special someones? Of course they were, but I couldn't help but doubt it. So after dinner I decided to have a word with Sister Iris.

    "Hey, Sister Iris?"
    "Yes Pearls? What is it?"
"You really like Mr. Nick, don't you?"
"Well yeah, of course I do. He saved me from those murder charges so long ago."
"You can't be his special someone."
    "What?"
"I said you can't be his special someone. Master Maya and Mr. Nick are already special someones."
"Oh Pearls. You've grown so much. I would have thought you'd have grown out of that way of thinking."
"What do you mean? It's right."
"No, it's not. Pearl, you need to know that Feenie and Master Maya have both gone their separate ways. They aren't going to be special someones. Not now, not ever."
    "You're wrong!"

And that's when it happened. I grabbed the nearest object, an urn, and smashed it over Sister Iris's head, knocking her unconscious. I tied her up, gagged her, and threw her in the Fey mansion's dungeon, an area that hasn't been visited in hundreds of years. As I came out of the long staircase, I noticed lighting flash across my reflection in the window. When Master Maya woke up the next morning and asked where she was, I told her that she had to leave during the night.

I knew then what I had to do. I had to make sure that Master Maya and Mr. Nick stayed special someones. Forever. No matter what. Special someones. Forever.
