Umm...question.

Lord of the Rings, just heard about it today, someone told me it was worth a watch, but I'd rather get more opinions...is it good to watch?

If your into a fantasy adventure films then yes it's worth a watch.

I fell asleep in every.single.movie.

Yeah, they are based on highly popular books.

I must warn you all 3 films are very long at around the 3 and a half hour mark.

 

You've never heard of Lord of the Rings?

They're great, I think they won every acadamy award they were nominated for (correct me if I'm wrong). It's definitely worth the watch.

 

It's a trilogy of films worth seeing. They are long though so make sure you're prepared.

This is classic fantasy.

 

I only found the third one good...the first two I fell asleep in....but they are very good. I recommend them....they're just really really long...

 

Yeah it's a really popular movie and book. I never was a fan of LoTR

 

Dude those 3 movies are epic. But like HisNobody said, some people can't stay awake for all 3 1/2 hours. But if you're into the amazing story of the movie you'll make it to the action sequences which are intense and well done.

btw, fun thing to do with or without a friend. Watch all three movies in a row. I know it's like 12 hours...but it's so epic. Well in my friends house with his huge TV and amazing sound system it was epic :3

lol, something I've done that's crazyer than seeing all 3 LotR films in a row, was see all 6 Star Wars films in a row XD

Read the books first. They are way better than the movies, even though they are among the best in recent times.

 

The books are several times better, but I highly suggest you watch the movies before ever venturing to read the books. You enjoy both better that way.

And I'm also surprised you've never heard of it. XD It's pretty much considered classic repertoire these days in literature.

 

Personally, I found them boring. I still like shouting "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" quite often though.

Also, this thread is further proof that Bermuda = barren wasteland.
