Use Windows Movie Maker, import the video into it and put the clips into the timeline up to 30 minutes and export it.

Dude, just import it to Windows Movie Maker. Split the first 30 min, then place it to the timeline. Save it to your computer, then save the next 30 min, etc. -edit- Crap, DA beat me to it, nvm

Well drag the clips into the timeline until it fills 30 minutes, then you export it.

Well once you have done that 30 minutes start a new project, and drag the other 30 minutes into the timeline and export it.

Do ipods only hold 30 min portions? Is that why you needed it divided?
