Okay...they said in this science textbook of mine that it would take millions and millions of years to travel in a spacecraft to a star or faraway planet in the universe.

So I was thinking....what if, some trillion something years ago, Earth was in existence. Just bear with me here. And technology was advanced enough that humans developed spacecraft that could travel at the speed of light, and they began a journey they knew would take a long, long time.

And what if, while they were gone, Earth was destroyed. And they wouldn't know it. Over the billions of years (with the astrounauts, like, having kids and stuff to continue the journey), Earth was recreated and stuff and humans reevolved.

...And now, those astronauts are continuing BACK to Earth at this moment??

    Like aliens or something??

Probably not true...but it'd make a good science fiction story. :) :stupid:

Um, wow. I highly doubt that. I mean, we're just now discovering the mysteries of outer space. But hey, anything's possible right?

Different but not un-heard of, humans have always wanted to discover, first it, was islands, then the whole world, next solar system and now the rest of space? Can't you just be glad with where you live? Maybe humans are trying to get on other planets so they can use Earth as a giant landfill.

A little odd to think of, it is quite an interesting idea though, but not all that likely. Although, for the sake of making a point lets say this is true. I doubt they would be anything like us, after all just look at our planet, the animals from one point on a map are totally different from those on another part with the same weather and temerature. so for all we know they could be blue with yellow stripes and green legs, giraffee horns, a duck beak, green bunny ears, I mean, who knows what else they could be like. and the thought of them speaking any of our languages (or even thinking us advanced enough to try to communicate) is very hard to belive.

and sorry to keep pointing out flaws but if the planet they knew as home was destroyed then how come they would be coming to our planet?
