    ...when I finally brought myself to watch the season finale of Doctor Who that I've had saved for about a month now. Oh, David ;-;

    As if it weren't bad enough that they prolonged it, he just had to say "I don't want to go" right before he regenerated...;-; Y'know, Eccleston's regeneration took all of 30 seconds...why did Tennant's have to take twenty freaking minutes of torment?!

    I haven't seen it. I couldn't bear to watch that awful series with Tate in it. >>

    I am currently watching The Time of Angels though. :b

    That DID make me happy. XD

    And I don't want anyone to think that I'm dissing Matt Smith! I'm sure he's fine...but Tennant's my Doctor (everyone has one), and he always will be ;-;

    They made it long cause it was the end not just for David Tennant but for most of the staff so they gave it there all. Plus he had a lot of characters connected to him which they wanted to give a farewell too unlike Eccleston who lasted a series was it?

    Anywho, Season 5 has it's moments of trying to show off so far and it's writers aren't as clever at making you believe these things that happen are possible. I thought the whole of episode 3 was pretty lame except for a single line which was "If Hitler invaded Hell, I'd give the Devil a favourable reference" or something like that.

    Actually come to think of it, after that whole scene I thought I wasn't going to like the next season because of the new actor...

    he's not so bad actually.

    Wow, I actually saw what seems to be the most epic episode of Doctor Who quite some time ago and didn't even know it.

    Aren't they trying to go back to the kid-friendly Doctor Who with less Time Lord angst? Or, at least they're trying to send the whole show in a different direction. I'm not sure I'm okay with that after they spent 5 years going in the direction they were heading for before...

    That, and...

    Logo-wise, that is.

    fixed.

    Yeah David was my doctor too, I only got intrested in DW after seeing him halfway through Rose's travels. And then I started watching them in reverse season order lol.

    I can tell that you have seen either none of season 5 or just the first episode.
    Of course it goes in a "diferent direction" it's a new doctor, the only reason why tennant and eccleson seemed to be going in the same direction is that they had a companion in common whereas everything is new for the smith doctor who. The new Doctor isn't as angsty about the time war, but he has a really short fuse compared to the previous few. Yeah as Nova said, the new series is a bit darker - I think it's cause this doctor does things more by instinct whereas tennant was more analytical as a doctor. Because he just goes on and does whatever his instincts tell him, this puts him and whoever he is with in a more risky position and its only at the end does he actually plan using some of the stuff he obtained by instinct.

    It's a running joke. Last time, he said he always wanted to be ginger. This time's a shoutout. He says "Damn, still not ginger."
