I doubt there is any connections here to the unbirths. I think they called it that, because Riku was in a sense was back tracking on his life and returning to the good side. that's all I got for ya.

Riku's levels were called Revere/Rebirth because his story happened in the basement levels while Sora's were ground levels.
I have no idea on the Rebirth though.

I think it's because it's like a rebirth of the same story from a reverse point of view (since dark is the opposite/reverse of light, then Riku's point of view [dark] would be the opposite/reverse of Sora's [light]).

Because the rebirth has been reversed.

No, it's called that because Riku is being "reborn" in that he's trying to cleanse himself of the darkness which he does after the story ends. Reverse is just because he's going through the basement while Sora is going up into the castle.

I dunno if cleanse is the right word, I think he just sort of learns to accept and appreciate it for what it is. I never finished RR though, so I wouldn't know XD.

There's no official reason as to why it was named that way, but I'd imagine it's a combination of most of the things already posted here.

Cause riku's is going through the basement floors. Riku is trying to be reborn aside from the darkness.

Well in Japanese, the words reverse/rebirth a homophones which means they are pronounced the same way but have different meanings. (ribasu is how they are pronounced I think), anyway, It could have something to do with Riku's way of going up the floors in an opposite way along with rebirth meaning that he matures in his feelings for the darkness and how it affects him.

You know, I actually forgot that Reverse and Rebirth are Homophones in Japanese, despite what knowledge I have of how the language works. You learn something new everyday, right?

Also, yes, Ribasu is how they'd be pronounced. I'd probably bring in the... What is it, Katakana? Used to spell it, but I don't know if this Forum supports Japanese characters.

Reverse? Well he was going through the basement levels instead of the normal ones. But Rebirth... Maybe 'cuz riku changed from the darkside to the twilight?

Its called Reverse Rebirth because it reveals the other side of the story, the reverse side. Riku's story. That's just how they named it.

Well Rebirth could be for a lot of reasons, firstly in the beginning of the game Riku was sort of 'reborn' by DiZ, as well as the fact that Naminé taught him to take the path of Twilight. As for Reverse, perhaps because he's almost the opposite side of Sora? He uses the darkness, he went from the Basement of Castle Oblivion up.

well its called reverse/rebirth for one the fact that riku did not lose any of his memories, i think the reverse do have to do with the basement levels instead of the upper castle, and that riku was in darkness instead of light. and i think rebirth has to do with ansem tryna comeback. well it could be a connection to the unbirths somewhere in there, if it is i wouldnt be supprised due to the fact that riku and terra have allot to do with each other...
