I hate you too =D. Although it looks like he was J-walking in the first place. Either way thats why crosswalks were made. But yeah, it does suck that no one helped.

 

Yeah, he shouldn't have been J-walking but still...That's someone's life and no one tried to help...=/ Suckish.

 

The first video ever that made my jaw actually drop in horror. HOW COULD ANYBODY JUST STAND THERE?!?

 

Exactly...People stand there, WATCH it happen, then do NOTHING. They just stayed there and watched like *******s. It's upsetting...>>

 

The parts I don't give a **** about: Someone ran over an old man
No one rushed out ot save him out of fear he may have broken his neck.
The part I find absolutley a horrible fail on humanity: That the second driver ran over him too.

 

I saw that in the news this morning, and i was like "What in the world are they doing just standing there!?"

 

Well, you can be sued for touching someone who's been hurt without paramedics helping. So...yeah.

 

I'm pretty sure the man would appreciate somebody pulling him out of the middle of the street, though.

 

But...Still...I'd at least stand by him and try to stop the cars from coming, until the police/ambulance came...

 

Part of life, unfortunatly, everyones so worried about saving their own asses they cant be bothered to help another person in need. Everyone does it at some point or another...

 

Well, the dude's son said that it was a bad area. Usually, that means juvenile delinquents with barely a high school diploma, so I doubt that they would know that law. I personally wouldn't give a crap and help him, at least get him out of the street.

But, yeah. The people in that vid (excluding the victim) are despicable.

 

This, ladies and gentleman, is what we like to call The Bystander Effect.

Essentially, everyone assumes that someone else will say/do something when a problem arises.



And people wonder why I'm a bitter individual with a poor outlook on humanity as a whole.

 

Yes, the bystander effect was definitely in place here. This is why I do -not- depend on my peers to do crap and just go do things if I am going to. I don't care if I would get a ticket or whatever. I helped a girl climb off a school roof because she couldn't get down after she had used the side air vents on the building to get up there to get her ball. The cops came and scolded me and drove me home, unsure if my story and hers were true that I carried her down the vents even though my fingers were freaking red. Some people are silly, and others just hope someone else will do something. Best thing in life to do is not be a follower.

 

DAMNIT I saw everyone's comments and I was hoping I would be first to point that out. That's just, >_> I want to like slap the people in the cars... it's not a ****ing squirel! I mean wtf?
