It's probably your version of NO$GBA, I haven't been following it lately but when Days came out the only way to play it was to download a special patched version of NO$GBA, that may be the case for this game as well.

Open the ROM, click file>export backup memory. It should ask you to name your save and where to save it. Depending on what version you're using what it spits out may or may not work with NO$GBA. So first try putting it in the NO$GBA "BATTERY" folder (make sure that it's the same name as the ROM) and see if it works. If it doesn't, then convert it.

That's because DESMUME saves are different than NO$GBA saves, you have to convert the save with this website:http://www.shunyweb.info/convert.php
Then put it in your NO$GBA "BATTERY" folder

It could be an issue with DESMUME itself, have you tried NO$GBA?

About DESMUME: Most games tend to be like that during cutscences unless you have a really high performance PC. Is the game okay outside of cutscenes?

I speak Spanish normally in town. but in my thoughts (my head, my mind, etc) I speak in ENGLISH ONLY. This is to maintain it fluent.
