I already reported him to two mods about the fact all he posts is a template post in every damn thread, hopefully another person doing it proves to the staff just how plain it is to see and how simple it should be to fix.

I noticed your posts in that thread, you were rather harsh for lack of a better word, seemed rather hostile over all.

Maybe given time he'll pluck up the courage to talk to me. Or his mother will force him to close his account and cease activities on the forum, either one works for me, latter requires less effort for me.

All I can say though is that if he wants to remedy the situation, having other members try to coerce me into a peace treaty is entirely the wrong way to do things, I'm a direct and upfront kinda guy, he wants to play nice, he's gotta come to me and talk seriously about it.

The effect is that in his home life he's apparently become more of a smart ass around the family, or so she said.

From a PM I got from Nyan Cat since he was talking to her about the whole thing, she made an attempt to mediate the situation.

Apparently HoT's mother saw our conversation about him via these VM's and wants him to close down his account now because she feels the whole thing is having an ill effect on him.

I wouldn't be surprised. Though if he really has the fore thought to purposely act stupid only because it irks me I'd be impressed, I think the more likely scenario is that he really is rather stupid, whiny, needy etc.

I just ignored him after he said "I would tell you who is in my house, but you would think me showing off" < or something to that effect. How he honestly believes anyone short of the queen being in his house would be any sort of achievement is beyond me.

Even then I wouldn't care much.

I think "delusions of grandeur" describes HoT quite perfectly.
