If BBS ends 10 years before KH1, and Kairi was sent out 9 years before KH1, then that estimates Xehanort's time with Ansem to be one year (assuming that Terra is Xehanort). So he managed to gain Ansem's trust, convert the apprentices, and then summon the heartless in one year. Works fast, doesn't he?
Do you think he turned Kairi's grandmother into a Heartless before sending Kairi to Destiny Islands?
If we're assuming that Aqua is linked through heart and/or soul to Kairi, like we believe Ven is linked to Sora, then it would make sense that Namine should look like Aqua. Except that Namine is a special Nobody.
-Master Ansem thought she wasn't a true Nobody.
-She's a witch whose able to control Sora's memories.
-She comes from a princess of heart.
-She was created when Kairi's heart less Sora's body, unlike the other Nobodies.
I think the last one is especially important, because I've heard rumors that Xemnas is also considered a 'special' Nobody. If Xehanort II really had Master Xehanort's heart or soul in Terra's body, then it would also be an instance of the wrong heart leaving the wrong body and creating a 'special' nobody.
I'm not entirely sure I want to believe that Aqua has a connection to Kairi. But I do see an opportunity for it to happen. Aqua's armor is found at Radiant Garden, the same place where Kairi lived. Perhaps Aqua fell to Radiant Garden the same time Xehanort did.
I like your thoughts on how body, soul, and heart act independently, and mixed together. I agree with your theories on Ven's heart and soul going into Sora. I haven't seen anyone suggest that Terra's heart went into Riku before, and I like the idea.
If we go with the theory that Master Xehanort took over Terra's body, and Terra became the second Xehanort/Ansem, then maybe Riku is given this suit to symbolize that he is becoming overcome with the darkness. And perhaps it also means that he was 'like an apprentice' to Ansem.
I agree that maybe Ven's heart was injured and Terra put it in Sora as a way to keep it safe. It could explain why Roxas ended up looking so similar to Ven.
A note of interest: this blog translation mentions the image of Ven we're talking about.
o Ven is watching from a similar coast looking down. He has little expression on his face. This place isn't Destiny Islands. It's Twilight Town (?) because it's evening.
Ven: "Because he's a friend, please erase me."
I'd like to believe that Sora is a reincarnation of Ven, but that's been made impossible now that we know Sora was four when Ven was fighting against Xehanort.
This theory makes the most sense to me. Maybe they needed to put Ven's heart somewhere safe after he was frozen. And Sora does have a history holding other people's hearts.
Just to clarify, the one who looks like Roxas, is actually Terra?! And the older one, the one most people believe became the second Xehanort, is actually Ven?
This is all a lot to think about. But there was a recent trailer where the images of Sora, Roxas, and Terra flash across the screen with the message "with who does the next story lie?"
It makes sense if we say Terra chose Riku as the heir of his keyblade, and then Sora received the keyblade instead because Riku's heart became weak. But why would Roxas be asking Sora, "Why did he chose you?" To me, the nuance of the question isn't why was Sora chosen over Riku, but why Sora was chosen over Roxas. It feels like he's yelling over the unfairness of "Why do you get to exist, but not me?"
Also, Roxas may have visited the Room of Sleep. He was an Organization member after all.
Roxas, without Sora's memories, does have a slightly different personality. So I could see the third piece of a person being memories/personality/spirit/soul. Nomura's odd use of term soul can fit personality, memories, individuality.
The footage that was used for the Roxas and Sora fight in Kingdom Hearts II TGS 2005 PV was never used, but it looked so cool. Surrounded by Nobodies, and then charging at each other... *_*
And they placed DiZ in the computer room, instead of the musty room.
This makes sense! You aren't able to access the battle with the Lingering Spirit until after you've defeated Xemnas, correct? Because the Lingering Spirit doesn't exist until after Terra's Nobody was destroyed! That makes so much sense!
