Exactly, I have the same problem, well not regarding String Theory, but with other stuff. It will be worth it in the end though. Plus, part of the fun of it is in the creation of something completely new.

Nope. I avoided the last quake, and I avoided this one. Both of them hit Christchurch, not my area. Kinda sucks for them. :/

Apparently my region is a fair way overdue for a large quake though, so I wouldn't be surprised if I were hit in the upcoming days.
