That is a good question, it seems to vanish after you leave the room and you can't find it again. At least, that is how it is with me.

It is the machine that says: One born of heart and darkness, devoid of hearts, ravage all worlds and bring desolation. Seize all hearts and consumate the great heart. All hearts to be one, one heart to encompass all. Realize the destiny: the realm of Kingdom Hearts. The great darkness sealed within the great heart. Progeny of darkness, come back to the eternal darkness. For the heart of light shall unseal the path. Seven hearts, one keyhole, one key to the door. The door of darkness, tied by two keys. The door of darkness to seal the light. None shall pass but shadows returning to the darkness. Ones born of the heart and darkness, hunger for every heart until the dark door opens.

Oh, so it was in the End of the World? I thought it was in HB. o.o But yeah, I never noticed that before. No wonder I couldn't find it again. If it's no problem, I'd like to see a video of it or something.

 

What I believe is that the machine was part of Ansem's experiments, and was sealed off from the rest of the world by darkness, which you were able to bypass by entering the End of the World. It disappeared afterwards because the darkness got disrupted. The machine didn't actually disappear, but the portal did, so I suspect that the machine will still be on its original world: Hollow Bastion.

But, since it's sealed off by darkness (or so my theory goes), you can't access it from that world, or from the End of the World again because the portal got disrupted.

 

It must be the machine that creates heartless.......

 

Yes, and the quote Sion quoted was talking about the Heartless, and thier connection with Kingdom Hearts.

I'm putting that on my sig... that is the most significant quote in KH.

 

That makes sense, but since this was by either Ansem the Wise or Xehanort, don't you think we'd hear a bit more about this in the computer in Ansem's study in KH2? In the FM version at the very least? This is pretty major, and it would also reveal a bit more of the Organization's plans...

 

But, in KH2, we find out that the heartless were made in Ansem's(The "Real" Ansem) study.
I think that that big maching had like a giant heart in it or something. When I first saw it and read its descriptions, I thought that maybe it was the heart of End of the World, since every world has a heart.

 

That's a pretty good idea. But the End of the World was a Heartless world right...? Or was that just the World of Chaos? Hmm, maybe it was a mix of the remnants of all the worlds that the Heartless had destroyed, like the floating islands...

 

the one in Hollow Bastion right? i'm assuming that's ANsem the wise's secret machine in his basement. tho you can't access it in the real Hollow Bastion tho.

I wrote it down too, because I was intrigued by the machine.
Turns out, I found out it's called the Heartless Prophecy.
As for the machine itself...
It makes sense that it is the heartless machine. Because Leon and company mentioned that their world (Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion) was taken over by Heartless, therefore the remanents of Hollow Bastion would be in the End of the Worlds. And when Sora saved the worlds, and they returned again, so did Hollow Bastion and the Heartless Machine... right?

Or was Hollow Bastion in KH1? Yes it was. My memory can be very jaded, especially since I can only borrow the game. I don't own it. God, I felt like an idiot there, thinking that Hollow Bastion didn't make an appearance until KH2. >.<​

 

Hallow Bastion was in KH1, but you only enter the castle, not the entire town. I believe the town was still there.

Oh, and even though Hallow Bastion was overrun with heartless, you still manage to save the world heart, so Hallow Bastion was never destroyed.

The reason you see it in the End Of The World is because you portal there, you portal to a couple different worlds, Traverse Town, 100 Acre Woods immediatly pop into my head.

 

Ah. I understand now. You were visiting Hallow Bastion just as you were visiting the other worlds. But why were you able to visit worlds in the End of the World, when their World's Hearts weren't taken?​

 

Thats why all those powerfull heartless appear everywhere, as opposed to just one spot.

Now, that one room, does not represent all the wourlds that lost thier heart, it represents all the rooms that the heartless can warp too. They have portals there.

Its the world fragments, those little rocks that when you walk close a battle field appears, that is actually part of worlds that lost thier heart.
