Seriously though, now that there are so many regulars in the Code Vault, the only purpose for the Coders is preventing hell from breaking loose.

It really isn't that scary, but there isn't much of a point in going there unless you have an ARMAX, Codebreaker, etc.

I don't really see it as politically-driven. Not saying that he's not hoping to get a few more votes in 2012 for it, but it's mostly a motivational thing. He's giving a speech on health care that day anyway, so might as well encourage the kiddies to work harder in school while he's at it.

FYI: If you are being forced to watch it, it's your school who's forcing you, not the government XD

I'm in favor of this idea. It can be a single stickied-thread, with the tutorials in links/the attachments, or it can be an entire section. I'm against making a new usergroup, but it's possible that we could bring on another one or two Coders for this. Though the six of us could probably handle it. If any unnofficial Coders make tutorials, they can be posted into the Code Vault, and then moved into the tutorial section by a Coder.

We'll see how many people are making these first.

Not true, this kind of thing doesn't happen too often. In fact, I can't really remember anything this bad happening since before the Coder group was created. Believe me, the Spam Zone trumps all other sections when it comes to drama, in both frequency and intensity >_>

That's probably not the best thing to do. Some people would like it, but a good chunk of people would not. It's really a hit or miss with that kind of thing. It sounds like there's a decent chance that he alerady likes you, so I wouldn't risk it at this point. Just take it one step at a time, you seem to be doing well so far, so don't make any sudden movements or he might run away :)
