I was saying why those images themselves bothered me in and of themselves regardless of context. Because they send a detrimental message that actively contributes to the degradation of society on a larger scale. To you, it may seem harmless, benign. But to me, the mind that spawns these is one that is inflexible, rigid and completely closed to possibility and wants nothing more than to breed more of its kind to wallow in mediocrity with. So we should not proliferate such harmful messages. We should seek to eradicate them instead.

Also, I'd like to point out that I was the only one here who even played along with the reference in the slightest.

I wasn't disagreeing with your original statement about not changing your personality or ideals if the change is positive, I just don't agree with the way you presented it. It came off as over-critical and unnecessarily dramatic for a topic that is not meant to be taken seriously ( in the spam zone of all places .)

and considering the pictures you commented on were meant to spark love and toleration to a previously "intolerant" thread, I would say you did more harm than good.

tbh I don't care for Homestuck but I do appreciate some parts of the fandom, there is some lovely lovely Homestuck fanart out there. The typing quirks bother me though, all caps + numbers is just generally... why. But I think people's reaction to it is not because of Homestuck but just generally, the internet doesn't react well to improper English.

 

I have searched far and wide for such a remedy. Such a grand panacea that may cure our world of what ails it. How can it be that one so small and unassuming as yourself could be the possessor of such great knowledge? How comes it to pass that you of all people, a runt, a wretch, a regular everyday normal guy can invalidate the millennium long search we've been a part of. How can it possibly be? Nay. I cannot accept this. You may mean well, but you are blind as the rest of them. Just as poor, pathetic and deluded. I was shown a beam of hope today. Hope that one day there would be a place for all remaining man to set about the sort of rickety table of harmony and have a not all that filling meal of brotherhood and kindness. But no. that was not meant to be. Not for today. Not for me. But I will soldier on as it is my way to do. I will travel across the land. Searching far and wide. I'll teach the people to understand the power that's inside. I've got to catch them. My heart is true. My courage will pull me through.
