Actually it's more about what it shows about his personal character and honesty that he refuses to release any but 2 years of his tax records, which by now everyone knows is because of fraud, tax evasion and his involvement in a lengthy list of sketchy financial endeavors. Not to mention his running mate, Paul Ryan, is an absolute joke and was blatantly caught lying about his stimulus funds and his handling of that situation was abominable.

Now I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with Obama, which is pretty much why I'm not going to vote this year. I'm not going to choose one side simply because I don't like the other.

I just generally don't give much of a **** anymore. I'm moving to Germany in the near future anyway.

My post was pretty much my interpretation of attack ads in general. Which is why I get so pissed off during elections. Because I start out wanting to actually participate but by the time the actual election rolls around I'm so fed up because no one actually says what they're going to do. It's always 'My opponent did this.' 'My opponent says this.'

It's never: 'I stand for this. I'm going to do this. My plan is this.'

Oh Germany. I've always wanted to go there. It seems like a nice place.

It's because the US government is so bent and corrupt and ****ed that no one actually can make promises anymore, so their only strategy left is to make the other person look like a worse choice than themselves. If there's not an armed uprising in this country within the next few years to overthrow the government, I will be genuinely surprised. If not, or until then, this is how things will continue to be and they're only going to get worse and worse.

I've never actually been to Germany yet. I'm leaving at the end of September to spend a month there, but from what I know and have heard, it's a beautiful place and it's not currently being run into the ground by politics and those with money and power. At least not yet. I plan to move there within the next few years though, as long as my visit doesn't turn into a disaster of some sort. :3

Oh gosh, I have been hoping for a military coup or something to happen for years. The current state of the country just...frightens me more than creepy dolls. The only thing that terrifies me more than that is a Russo-Chinese Alliance. Because...holy crap that thought is terrifying.

I'm sure your visit won't spark some national incident. I hope you enjoy yourself. I'd like going to Russia more than Germany but considering how the Russians have been responding to the US in the past few years and how the Russians treat tourists in general...I think Germany is more the safe option.
