This is my very first story ever so if you hate it, they should (in therory) get better. So, here it is...... ************************************ Approaching footsteps broke the ever boring silence, her hope of something interesting happening spiked. It fell as soon the door opened, it was the garbage man. “Hey Dave, thought you were a costumer.” she said with a sigh. “Sorry to get your hopes up kid” Dave said sincerely. Lexajo had been work at a flower shop in the Mall for a year, and hadn’t had one costumer yet. Everyday same story, she gets up, gets dressed, does her home-school work, goes to work, comes home and goes to bed. Everyday she wishes something would happen. San Francisco is supposed to be some wild and crazy place, but the most interesting thing that has happened is the fire-drill at the school across the street. Walking home from work one day, she heard a voice calling her name, her nickname. “Lexi”, she looked around but the only people she saw on the street was an old Asian couple in the middle of a conversation in Japanese. “Lexi, hey Lexi!” She looked around again, but now even the couple was gone. She shuddered. “That’s only a little creepy.” She finally made it home, told her mom about her day, leaving out the part about someone calling her name thinking it was just her imagination, and started getting ready for bed. While in the process of brushing her teeth, someone called her name again but it wasn’t her parent’s voice, it was the same voice as before. “Lexi, Lexajo you missed a spot.” After jumping about three inches off the floor, she looks around to make sure no one else was in the bathroom with her. Soon she was in bed trying to sleep, when she heard a sound. Whoosh! She sits up to see what looks like a black hole opening up on the opposite wall of her bedroom! It took the form of a rounded door-frame. A man dressed in an all black hooded cloak stepped out of it and held out his hand for her to take. “Come with me Lexajo, I want to help you.” “What if I don’t want or need you help?” She said trying to figure out how he would respond to that. He was around the same height as her, which was 5’1, but he was most likely stronger since she was a girl. She might be able to fight him off long enough to call for help, but then she remembered something about her newly fixed-up room. It was sound proof, and he was closer to the door than she was! “Relax, I don’t want to hurt you” he said soothingly. “Wait a minute, I know that voice. You’re the one that has been calling my name!” she exclaimed, finally putting some of the pieces together. “Yes, see you know me already” he said with a smirk in his voice. “Okay, I’ll trust you if you trust me. Who are you, why are you here and why are you wearing a hood?” She wasn’t sure if he would answer the last one. “I can’t tell the first two until we get back to base. But the last one is easy.” He let out a small chuckle. “They're terribly comfortable. I think everyone will be wearing them in the future.” “Hey! You stole the from a movie!” she yelled, Princess Bride had always been one of her favorites, she would know a quote from it anywhere. “Yes, you caught me in the act.” He chuckled again. It was strange, his laugh was somehow comforting. “If I go with you……” she hesitated. “……can I come back whenever I want?” “Of course” he said confidently. He held out his hand again, she hadn’t noticed he had put it down until now, she had been trying to see his face. “Alright, I’ll go.” She crossed the room and started to take his hand then stopped. “But I have to be back by morning” she said firmly, noticing that her hand was hovering above his. “I will escort you myself if I have to” she could hear the smile in his voice. She took his hand. “Let’s go” he said as they took a step through the portal of darkness. On the other side of portal, she was blinded by very white walls. They seemed to almost glow compared to the darkness of the room she had just come from. “Wh-Where are we” she muttered. “We are at ‘The Castle That Never Was’. A.K.A. our base of operations or ‘Boo’ as some like to call it” said the man that had been with her the whole time, but now he had his hood down. She now knew why he wasn’t much taller than her. He, like her, was about 14! He was very cute. He had a little shorter than shoulder length sandy-blond hair, deep brown eyes, and a small smirk on his face at her expression. “Are your cheeks always that red, or are you blushing at something” he asked. She was about to answer when another man in a similar cloak walked up. “Who’s this” the man said curiously. This man looked and sounded familiar. He had spiky red hair, he seemed about 22 and also had a smirk on his face but his was more prominent. “This may be a new member, I’m supposed to be taking her to the Superior but my portal messed up and took a detour” the younger man said quickly as if he embarrassed. “So that’s what he was talking about! He told me to come find you and tell you to ‘hurry it up’. He seems pretty mad. Got it memorized?” the redhead said, pointing at his head during the last part. “Axel! That’s who you are” she exclaimed suddenly, but then quickly clapped her hands over her mouth. Both the men looked at her quizzically. “How did you know that” they both said at the same time. She paused. “I… I don’t know. The name just sort of p-popped into my head and out of my mouth” she stuttered, trying to figure out what was going on. “You better get going” Axel said after a moment of awkward silence. Axel helped by opening a portal, staring at Lexajo as she walked through it and then himself and the younger man followed. On the other side, the trio were facing a huge double-door, Lexi could hear angry shouting from inside. “Do I have to go in there” she asked hoping this was just another detour. “I’m afraid you do, but we can come with you…… if you want” said the younger man. “Sure, at least I’ll have some familiar faces. ” she said as she turned to knock on the large door. Thud thud. “Who is it” roared a gruff voice on the other side of the doors. “It is numbers 8 and 23, reporting back to the Superior” Axel said. “Did you bring the new recruit or did you two let another on slip away” said the voice as he opened the doors. As soon as the man opened the door and saw Lexajo standing there, he seemed to calm down a little. “Ah, you did do something right for once. You may go” He said as he waved them off. “Can they stay with me” she said without thinking and then quickly muttered “please.” Shooting a glance at the three, the man sighed and said “very well, proceed”. That’s when she finally placed the face with a name. “That’s Siax, right” she whispered when the other two were close enough to hear. Again, they were stunned that she knew that. “Yeah, and he is NOT in a good mood today” said the younger of the two. By that time Siax had walked across the room and was opening a small simple door that lead to an office. Inside was an older looking man with long gray hair, somehow she recognized him immediately. “And that’s Xemnas, right” she asked again. This time only the first man could hear her, Axel was busy fighting with Siax about something, “Yeah, that’s him in all his boring glory.” He chuckled and so did she. “So do you know everyone’s name’s” he asked. “I don’t know yours”, she said without thinking again, “I only know the first 14”. “Oh, that’s strange. Well, my name is Xaraon. But you can call me Xar if you want, everyone else does” he said. “We should probably go see Xemnas now.” He motioned toward the door where you could see Xemnas bent over his desk writing something. “Oh yeah, I for got about that” she let out a nervous chuckle before stepping into the office. Xemnas didn’t look up. “Knock knock” Xaraon said. “Oh, number 23, you’re back…” Xemnas said dully, then he looked at Lexajo and smiled “…and I see you’ve brought a friend.” “Hi” Lexajo said nervously and waved slightly. “You may leave now, Xaraon” Xemnas said, then turned to Lexi. “Bu-” Xaraon started to protest on Lexi’s behalf, but she cut him off. “It’s fine, go ahead” she said touching his shoulder soothingly. But then she quickly pulled her hand away “Are you sure?” He said blushing slightly. “I’ll be fine” she said half to him and half to herself, she was also blushing. “Okay” He said as he left and closed the door behind him. After he was gone, she wished he hadn’t left. “You two seem to have quite a bond” Xemnas said dryly, making her jump slightly, she had forgotten he was there. “I guess” she mumbled. “If you’re going to try to recruit me to the Organization, I can’t accept right now” she said, knowing what he was going to say. “You’re a smart girl” he said with the first amount of texture in his voice, it was surprise. “How did you know what I was going to say” he said questioningly, a few moments later. She sighed “A) I think I can read minds, 2) You are very easy to predict” she said. But somehow she knew that wasn’t how she knew. “interesting” he said, back in his monotone voice ************************************************ I hope you liked it. Read one line and then when I tr to read he next line, I accidently read the same line that I just finish.
Try and keep your posts substantial, guys. It's a shame to delete spam. D: It's not bad, considering you're a beginner to writing. There are a few problems (only natural) so I'll try to show you where you slipped. Here's an insight into my thoughts as I began to read. Also, it would help if you started a new line everytime somebody speaks :3 Your spelling is excellent. I quite liked the fact somebody was watching her brush her teeth. xD Keep it up :3
Thanks, I'll make sure I remember those tips when I continue. I might have used spell check a few time . XD Really, most of my friend that read it said the it was kinda stalkerish. XD
