~A Haunting Fortress on the Horizon~

Mya sat in the tree and waited. If they showed any hint of hostility to her friends, she would fire upon them. She tried to sit still inthere tree not making any sounds.

Julie took a step away from Raphael as she crossed her arms, trying to remember the places the town elder had told her to go. "Well, there's one in Etha. If I recall correctly, it was Unda." Julie slowly began pacing back and forth, snapping her fingers when she finally thought of the rest. "There's another in Murex and two in Welk."

 

"Well, if there are two in
Welk then we should probably head there. Having more people like us from the start would probably be best." He said while tapping chin. His wings almost fluttered at the thought of an adventure.
This town was nice, but it was getting boring. And if he was one of the people that had to save the world then it was his duty to take this task.

 

Ebony neighed as he heard someone call out, just as Alec had a moment before. "There it is again..." Alec pulled the reins, guiding Ebony towards the voices. Who could be in the forest, approaching Etha from the outside? "Yeah, there's someone here," Alec replied loudly before preemptively adding, "But it's wiser to give one's name before asking another's!"

 

Kirie watched with a keen eye as Serin handle the situation as she sat on top of her horse. 'He seems to have experience with this kind of thing,' she mused. Her eyes darted over to the boy that Serin was addressing, and couldn't help but to smile slightly. He had blue hair, which only meant one thing. She found another of her kind. But she grew serious again, causing her smile to slack as she waited patiently. Not sure what else to do, Kirie stroked the mane of her horse with gentliness. She knew that animals loved attention, and the more you gave them that attention the more that they would cooperate with you. 'Although I think one of the girls are controling them, so would it matter? Hm... so many things to learn about the Vertias Magnuses.'

 

Julie's lip parted so she could speak, but she was cut short before saying a word when she heard an unknown male's voice. Quickly, she turned to see Varil unsheathe his sword. From the corner of her eyes, she could the townspeople getting away from all three of them. "Who are you?" she asked Varil, putting the hand that held Tempest behind her back.

 

Without warning, Alec grabbed Unda and pointed at Serin. It was still bandaged and covered in a pouch, but a stream of water would remedy that soon enough. "Serin, huh? Here to get the Veritas Magus? What proof do I have that you aren't one of Thanato's thugs?" With that, he pulled on Ebony's reins with one hand, getting between Serin and Elaina. "I knew it couldn't be this easy. Is she with you, too?" He gestured towards Elaina. No way was it that easy to find the others. He could not have found before even leaving Etha...

BIC: Mya jumped down from the tree and walked up to Alec. We can't. But no matter how you look at it, all of the Veridas Magus has to be united. You may not share our motives, but we all share the same goal: unite all of the Veridas Magus to defeat him.

 

"Now just hold on a second." Elaina said, slightly frustrated. This is probably some ploy. I bet Alec led me into this trap. They're probably out to get me. Go figure. "How could you possibly think I'm associated with them in any way? This happened right after we left town, and YOU were the one who wanted to leave so soon." She pointed at Alec. "I bet this is a trap you led me into. I should have known not to trust someone so blindly." Elaina scowled as Titania pawed restlessly at the ground.

She turned to Serin. "Why should I trust you?" Elaina asked, gripping Lucus tightly. "How do I know You aren't here to take the Veritas from us?"

OOC: Sorry for taking so long to post.

 

Mya shrugged. We're not forcing you to trust us. All we're saying is to listen to what we have to say. She whistled and Titanita calmed down. You can do whatever you want after you hear us out. That's all we're asking for.

 

Lyn followed Serin, they approached two others. She listened mainly to what they all had to say. Waiting to see if there was anything she wanted to throw in. What they were saying did make her wonder, What if all of this is a trick? She decided to not be so trusting, at least when it came to the Veritas Magus.

Kirie hummed out to herself. These people were thinking similar to her. But she quickly saw what a fool she was. And she also saw something in her visions earlier that left her deeply disturbed. But could it be true? She was just getting the hang of her Veritus Magus after all. But seeing where this was all going, she carefully got off her horse and made her way to the others while pulling out Luna into view. They were all missing the point, she could see that. "Listen to yourself quarl and bicker like children of trust and untrust. Look around you and stop being so blind, we all have a Veritas Magus!" Kirie said while raising her voice and waving Luna in front of the group so she could make a point. She turned her head and looked straight at Serin. She didn't see a Veritus Magus on him, which made her not want to come on this quest in the first place, but something whispered to her that everything would be alright. She then turned back to the others, and spoke more softly but firmly this time. "Didn't the elder tell you all that we need to team up with one another? Once we've accomplished this, who's to say who we can't trust? No one can take our Veritas Magus away if we all combine our powers with each other. But if you wish to stand alone, so be it and risk your Veritas Magus to be stripped away from you sooner or later. No matter how strong it is alone, someone will match up their power with yours. And you all will feel sorry for not teaming up with those who offers you a chance to walk with others with the same kind of power." Kirie kept her eyes steady as she looked around at the others around her. She felt her heart pounding in her chest from the nervousness of speaking up in front of these people she barely knew, but then again she felt like she made some valid points. 'Hopefully it'll get through their thick heads...'

And also... my frist productive long post. WOOTS! XD

 

With whatever he thought he would need, along with his Veritas Magus, Nox finally decided to leave Murex. Having never left the boundaries of his home it would be a strange and new journey for him but with the information in the elder's library that he had read he was certain he would not be troubled. Being entrusted with Petra was very important to Nox and he left with the ideals of using this power for the good of others.

OOC: worst starting post in the history of start posts that are in eligible English. Also, very, very late.

 

"Uh..." Alec's grip on Unda weakened and the spear lowered slightly. Not many people could have made a speech like that...not with that much emotion...and be trying to trick me...He thought to himself as he looked at Elaina and tried to smile, shrugging. "I..apologize," he told Serin as he placed Unda back on his back. He pushed himself off of Ebony and led the horse closer to the others. "I apologize for raising a weapon to you, not for being suspicious. Can't blame us for that, right?" He half-joked as he neared Serin. "My name is Alec. This dark god of a horse is Ebony," the horse huffed, almost as if to acknowledge the others. Alec gestured towards his companion. "That feisty girl is Elaina and her trusty steed is Titania." After introducing himself, he laid eyes on Kirie. "And you...you have a lot of heart," he smiled at the girl, her speech still fresh on his mind.

 

Julie grabbed Raphael's arm and pulled him back as she took a step back when Varil when moved closer. This isn't good. The girl bit down on her bottom lip, twiddling with Tempest behind her back. "Why do you want our Veritas Magus?" Her eyes momentarily gazed towards the blade of Varil's sword, making her slightly nervous than she was already. Seeing a black blade was something she had never seen before.

 

"Please Julie, we don't want you to get hurt now do we? You barely even know how to use your new toy." Raphael side-stepped around Julie. He put the ring on his right hand and snapped his fingers. A small wall of flame appeared between them. He snapped his fingers again and seven balls of flame appeared around him. "Julie, I hope you know how to fight."

 

"Now why would we do that? They don't have your name written on them. And honestly, I don't think you deserve them." Raphael engulfed himself and Julie into a huge wall of flame. He took Julie's hand and began to run toward the gates of the city. He shot multiple blasts of fire at Varil. Whoever this man was, he needed to be dealt with. But not here. He needed to lure him outside of the city so he would't hurt anyone.
